War In Ukraine
Berestove Captured by Russian Forces. Ukrainian Fortifications
at risk of being Flanked.

This is the last settlement in the valley. In
case of a counterattack you would have to approach Russian positions over a
huge open field visible to everyone. That is suicidal. The thing I don't
understand is why the Russians haven't destroyed the Ukrainian forces
retreating over the said field and why haven't they followed them and captured
the heights because now the Ukrainians are entrenched again.
This
is not WW1. You can't win a war against a modern army sitting in a trench. The
trench stratgedy has failed Ukraine from the start of this war. Ukraine has no
offensive capability.
If
you can't go through the fortifications, you go around them. Ask General
MacArthur.
(Watchman
comment: It was General
George S. Patton, Jr. best known as Commander of the Seventh United States Army
and later the Third United States Army in Europe during World War II, told his
staff: “Fixed fortifications are monuments to the stupidity of man.”)
Ukr.
defensive lines stand firm until the Russians attack. Under piano pimps great
leadership the Ukr. forces will be soon straggling into Warsaw, while he
relocates to Jaffa to retire and resume piano skills.
I
don't see any civilian settlements on that UKR entrenched mound defence line,
so why don't the Russian use a formation of strategic bombers to obliterate the
area with free-fall bombs? since they have control of the skies.
Wouldn't this hill fort be a great place for
Russia to drop a FOAB on it? Followed up with a few thermobarics?
