Solar Eclipse
Pastor Mark Biltz of El Shaddai Ministries in Bonney Lake, Wash., found an amazing astronomical discovery relating to the Jews, it is the rare occurrence of 4 (tetrad) lunar eclipses.
A tetrad is a group of four and in the case of the moon it is a “blood moon.” The moon does not go totally black; some indirect sunlight still reaches the moon after passing through the Earth's atmosphere. Since the atmosphere filters out blue light, the indirect light that does reach the moon paints it red or orange.
During this century, tetrads occur at least six times, but what’s interesting is that the only string of four consecutive blood moons that coincide with God’s holy days of Passover in the spring and the autumn’s Feast of Tabernacles (Succoth) occurs between 2014 and 2015 on today’s Gregorian calendar. After that such tetrads do not happen again in this century.
Biltz was also asked about the famous statement in Matthew 24:36 when Yeshua was discussing the signs of His “coming, and of the end of the world”: “But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only.” (Matthew 24:36)
He responded by referring to the annual Feast of Trumpets holiday, saying Israelites never knew the precise moment it began, “because it was based on the sighting of the new moon.”
“When He (Jesus) says you won’t know the day or the hour, He’s telling you it’s the Feast of Trumpets because that was known as the feast where no one knew the day or the hour that it would begin
The feast of trumpets, or Rosh Hashanah, is the day of the blowing of the ancient Jewish trumpet, the “Shofar.” But is Rosh Hashanah on September of 2015 the date of that last trumpet signaling the return of Jesus Christ, as the Messianic Pastors suggest?
There were no tetrads in the 1800s, the 1700s, the 1600s. In the 1500s, there were six, but none of those fell on Passover and Succoth.
To the Pythagoreans, the tetrad symbol and number represented justice. 1948 and 1967 seem like justice to me.
Every occurrence of these tetrad eclipses below deal with religious feasts or major events in recent Jewish history:
1948 Israel’s rebirth as a nation
1949 Passover and Succoth
1950 Passover and Succoth
1967 Israel’s capture of Jerusalem
2014 or 2015 Next Tetrad
Remember the following:
· Tetrads are the rare occurrence of 4 lunar eclipses
· The moon has a blood red appearance
· The Jews use a lunar calendar
· Rare astronomical lunar events occur during Jewish holidays or feasts
· They are symbolic of Yeshua’s return
· They occur with major events in Jewish history
· The Bible refers to Israel as the Lord’s timepiece!
· Yeshua commands us to be Watchmen and look for signs in the heavens
Tetrad lunar eclipses:
15 May 2003
8 Nov 2003
4 May 2004
27 Oct 2004
As you can see above 27 October 2004 was the fourth total lunar eclipse dating back to May 15, 2003. Each eclipse coming at intervals of just under six months apart, these eclipses were an example of the lunar cycle called tetrad.
The Italian astronomer Giovanni Schiaparelli (1835-1910) discovered that during a period of about three centuries tetrads can occur rather frequently; then in the next three hundred years tetrads never occur at all. We are living in a period frequent tetrads that climaxes with the Jewish holidays in 2014/2015.
During the 8 November 2003, much of the eclipse, including all of totality, the moon was tinted orange or copper, as all the world's sunrises and sunsets sent sunlight angling through Earth's atmosphere and onto the moon and back. A lunar eclipse happens when the Sun, Earth and moon are all in a perfect line. This eclipse was more colorful than some, as astronomers had predicted, because the moon skirted near the bottom of the circular shadow presented by Earth, putting it closer to the refracted red sunlight. (Blue light from the Sun is scattered more in Earth's atmosphere and does not penetrate it so easily. This same science is behind blue skies and red sunsets.) Had anyone been watching from the moon, Earth would have been ringed by red light as it blocked out the Sun. Because the moon was near the bottom of the dark full shadow of Earth, called the umbra, lower regions of the satellite retained a silvery glint throughout. Joe Rao, SPACE.com's Night Sky columnist said, "The eclipse we have just seen was the brightest eclipse of the twelve total lunar eclipses that I have witnessed, going back to December 1964, I've never seen the ruddy coloration within the Earth's umbra persist for such a long interval of time."
Yeshua said that we do not know the day or hour of His return. Yeshua did say that we can know the season of His return because we should be watching and waiting. So, we can know the approximate time, but not know the exact time - day or hour. The Lord will reward those who eagerly await His return. A true believer should yearn for Yeshua’s return. He or she should pay very close attention to the signs that are occurring everyday around us.
Pastor Biltz said, “God wants us to look at the biblical calendar, the reason we need to be watching is because He will signal His appearance. But we have to know what to be watching as well. So we need to be watching the biblical holidays.”
Biltz said in the book of Genesis it states the lights in the sky would be “be for signs, and for seasons.”
Blitz said, “It means a signal, like ‘one if by land, two if by sea.’ God wants to signal us.” The Hebrew word implies that it is not only a signal, but it’s a signal for His coming. The word “seasons” implies appointed times for God’s feasts and festivals. The Hebrew word for feast has nothing to do with food. It has to do with a God’s divine appointment.
Per NASA’s lunar eclipse calendar the tetrad occurs:
1. 15 April 2014 Passover
2. 8 Oct 2014 (6 months) Succoth, Tabernacles
3. 4 Apr 2015 (6 months) Passover
4. 28 Sep 2015 (5 months) Rosh Hashanah
The schedule for solar eclipses has two tetrads, one on the first day of the Hebrew year and the next on the high holy day of Rosh Hashanah, the first day of the seventh Hebrew month. Both of these take place in the 2014-2015 year.
Pastor Biltz said, “You have the religious year beginning with the total solar eclipse, two weeks later a total lunar eclipse on Passover, and then the civil year beginning with the solar eclipse followed two weeks later by another total blood red moon on the Feast of Succoth all in 2015.”
In the New Testament, Yeshua said, “Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light … And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.” (Matthew 24:29-30)
Gary Stearman of Prophecy in the News noted, “When we think of the sun being darkened and the moon not giving her light, we usually think of some astronomical catastrophe – perhaps the sun sputtering and the moon being affected by all this. But maybe it’s time to rethink this a little bit and think of it as a natural cycle, the cycle of the eclipses.”
This astronomical sign is one of a multitude of signs that are occurring more frequently. What I have been saying in my blog is that the evidence is mounting that we are entering the “Last Days.” Something can happen soon that is a major milestone in biblical prophecy just like what occurred in 1948 and 1967. The mathematical probability shows that this is not contrived by man but must be orchestrated by our Father in heaven. Let us pray that Yeshua come quickly!
It is the purpose of my blog to keep you informed of these signs as others and I see them occur. It is then up to you to make a decision. No one else can make the decision for you. It is up to you to knock on Yeshua’s door.
