READER COMMENT: May the Lord console this family! The good news for those of us who know Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior is that we do not grieve as those without hope, because the dead in Christ will rise first and then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, to be with Him forever.
The Apostle Paul wrote this in his first letter to the Thessalonians, found in chapter 4. He wrote to console ourselves with these words. I console myself with these words, because I lost my mother and my husband within 4 months and being alone now, without my father who also has passed away, I long for this promise meeting them and Jesus in the clouds in the air very soon.
We are the last generation just as Jesus describes the last generation to be, the one that is like the days of Noah, starting at the birth of Israel as a nation in 1948, just as Jesus said in St Matthew 24:32, describing Israel as the fig tree, a parable He told us to learn.
A generation according to Psalm 90:10 is 70 to 80 years. The last generation will be one of rebellion and sorrow as described by the Apostle John in the book of Revelation.
So for those of us who are believers in Jesus Christ as He is revealed in the book of Revelation, we know that He is going to reign in Jerusalem when He returns with those who were "caught up" as Paul described before the Tribulation Period starts, a period of 7 years as described by Jesus Himself when there will be an abomination of desolation in the rebuilt Temple in Jerusalem according to St Matthew 24:15.
My hope is not in this world, it is not in this government or any future government that is led by men. My Hope is in Jesus Christ when His reign will start and when the government is upon His shoulders for 1,000 years as described in Revelation 20.
I pray Father God, Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven, a prayer which You will answer very soon when You will soon crush Satan under the bride's feet, when You destroy and put the false prophet and the antichrist into the lake of fire and Satan in the abyss.
Thank You for Your word which is true because Your word is eternal and thank You for Jesus Christ, God In the flesh, who died for those of us who ask for forgiveness and know that the blood of the Lamb cleanses us from all unrighteousness.
Thank You for Your deliverance that is coming very soon to those who long for Your appearing, 2nd Timothy 4:8. In Jesus Christ's name. Amen.
