| Dear Friend,
Hurricane Ida slammed into the Louisiana coast on August 29, 16 years to the day after Katrina devastated New Orleans.
Some families have lost loved ones, many homes are flooded, and with temperatures soaring, millions are without power—and they still could be weeks from now according to officials. So many in Louisiana need the hope of Jesus Christ.
We’ve deployed teams of Billy Graham Rapid Response Team chaplains, along with two of our mobile ministry centers, to multiple locations around Louisiana, including Greater New Orleans.
These chaplains will offer emotional and spiritual care to hurting individuals at emergency aid centers and to other residents and first responders across the region.
In addition to praying with people, they will also hand out copies of God’s Word, to share His truth with hungry souls. We want to minister in the Name of Jesus Christ to those who are suffering.
Will you lift up families and rescue workers across Louisiana? Pray that many will come to know “the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our tribulation” (2 Corinthians 1:3–4, NKJV).
Thank you for all you do, and may God richly bless you.
Franklin Graham President
P.S. We count on the partnership of friends like you. Your prayers and gifts will offer hope and comfort to those in Louisiana who desperately need it.
