Read the Democratic Party platform to remind yourself of a total breakdown in society where "God and Country" are no longer mentioned in the same breath. The Democrats do not mention God once. Meantime, in the background the Democratic Party embraced the official prayers of the most antichrist system on earth-Islam. The Dems supported the ranting of a radical Imam as part of a featured event. The word "Faith" appears to mean organizations working against poverty, climate change and human trafficking but not personal faith.
If you are a Democrat, please do not be offended. But you need to know what is in your party's platform, especially if you are a Christian. This particular platform is different than traditional Democratic Party platforms. For example, Jared Favole of the Wall Street Journal writes: "In 2008, the Democratic Party's platform said "Jerusalem is and will remain the capital of Israel. The parties have agreed that Jerusalem is a matter for final status negotiations. It should remain an undivided city accessible to people of all faiths." The Republican Party's platform for 2012 says "We support Israel's right to exist as a Jewish state with secure, defensible borders; and we envision two democratic states-Israel with Jerusalem as its capital and Palestine-living in peace and security."" The 2012 Democratic Party does not even mention Jerusalem.
There are other planks in the Democratic Party platform. The party is totally behind public funded abortion: "The Democratic Party strongly and unequivocally supports Roe v. Wade and a woman's right to make decisions regarding her pregnancy, including a safe and legal abortion, regardless of ability to pay." And it is against traditional marriage: "We support marriage equality and support the movement to secure equal treatment under law for same-sex couples...We support the full repeal of the so-called Defense of Marriage Act and the passage of the Respect for Marriage Act." In contrast, the Republican Party platform defines marriage as the "union of one man and one woman."
The Republican Party platform is against abortion: "Faithful to the "self-evident" truths enshrined in the Declaration of Independence, we assert the sanctity of human life and affirm that the unborn child has a fundamental individual right to life which cannot be infringed." On religion, the Republican Party says that the current Administration is conducting a war on religion, and is attempting to deny religious believers their civil rights. It says: "We support the public display of the Ten Commandments as a reflection of our history and of our country's Judeo-Christian heritage..." I do not to even venture to suggest how a person should vote. I will say that you should know what each candidate stands for and vote according to your Christian values. Read the platforms and remember what God says in Matthew 24:4, "Take heed that no man deceive you."
