Raising rates will accelerate the demise of the banking industry as their liquidity assets are in short term treasuries at a rate of 3.5%, thus the haircut of 50%, aka as a loss. People will then withdraw money from the banks and put them into money markets, no insurance. The bail ins start and blows up the derivatives and all that is left is ashes.
