Eastern Ukraine and Western Ukraine have completely different national identities. Western Ukraine was at
one time part of the Austro-Hungarian Empire, then the Polish-Lithuanian
confederation and then the USSR.

The Russians and their allies are currently breaking through Ukraine’s primary defensive line that stretches from Bakhmut to Siversk seen on the map below.
In the past 2 weeks Ukrainian Nazi Kraken troops sent to stop
the Russians were slaughtered and suffered 80% casualties.
The second or final line of defense stretches from Sloviansk to
Kramatorsk; seen on the map above; after the Russians break through this line it is clear sailing to conquer all
of Ukraine.
