Royal Caribbean’s 4,275-passenger Freedom of the Seas has restarted sailings from Miami to the Bahamas with two classes of passengers on board—those who’ve been vaccinated against Covid-19, and those who have not. Jabbed guests, identified with special wristbands, get full run of the ship; those unprotected from the virus won’t even be able to walk into the sushi bar, casino, or spa.

Freedom is the first ship to depart the U.S. without a vaccination requirement, and it’s also the first to depart from the nation’s cruise capital of Miami. For all the city’s influence on the cruising industry, it’s also proved to be a difficult place to restart business, given that Florida Governor Ron DeSantis has barred businesses from requiring vaccine cards.

“The cruise experience benefits from being impromptu,” says Jukka Laitamaki, a tourism marketing expert and professor at the NYU School of Professional Studies Jonathan M. Tisch Center of Hospitality. Cruisers are typically free to hang out where they want, do what they want to do, and make friends. But unvaccinated cruisers on Freedom will find much of that restricted.

“It is the cruise lines’ worst nightmare to have to have separate areas for the vaccinated and unvaccinated,” Laitamaki says.

The system has proved necessary. Even on cruises with strict Covid-19 vaccine requirements for adults, issues have already cropped up. In late June, Royal had to pay to repatriate two unvaccinated teenagers who tested positive—and their families—from the Bahamas. Sister line Celebrity also had an incident of two asymptomatic guests testing positive on a sailing from St. Maarten. (Remember, you can still carry the coronavirus even when vaccinated.)

Two-Class System

The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s rules for cruise companies require lines to enforce mask-wearing and social distancing when unvaccinated cruisers are on board. But companies have some discretion about the finer points.

Royal Caribbean’s list of restrictions for Freedom, issued in mid-June, is a long one. It applies to all sailings on the ship in July—and likely to four other ships the line plans to launch from Florida this summer, with capacities of up to 6,680 passengers.

Those with a hole punched in their SeaPass—indicating that they haven’t been jabbed or declined to show a vaccine card—will be segregated to one deck of the main dining room and will be banned from some of the better, more intimate for-a-fee dining venues. (That includes families with unvaccinated kids, too, so long as they’re sticking together.) Off limits will be the popular maritime-themed Schooner Bar pub and Viking Crown nightclub, the casino, art auctions, and the indoor Solarium pool and bar. Gatherings such as the 1970s-themed party will be open only to vaccinated guests. If you aren’t immunized and want to see a show, you’ll sit in a segregated area in the back of the theater. And you can only use the gym during specified hours.

At least for now, mask wearing is required indoors (but not outdoors) of everyone on board Freedom when not eating or drinking—though some venues that are only open to vaccinated guests will be able to nix the rule.

The trip will cost more for unvaccinated guests, too. Anyone over the age of 12 who doesn’t voluntarily show proof of vaccine will have to provide a negative result from a Covid-19 PCR test taken within three days of departure. They’ll also have to pay for a second test at the pier and a third upon disembarking on the last day—totaling $136 or $178 per person, depending on the sailing.

In addition, Royal is requiring unvaccinated travelers leaving from Florida to purchase travel insurance—at least $25,000 per person for medical expense coverage and $50,000 per person for medical evacuation—from Aug. 1 through the end of 2021. On a one-week cruise, this can add $200 or more to the combined fare of an unvaccinated family of four.

And that’s just on the ship. Each port of call has its own constantly changing rules, some requiring guests without immunity to stay on board or limit themselves to select shore excursions

Maginnis says, “They have pulled out all the stops with going after us with their control over media, to include the New York Times, Washington Post and others. There is their transmission media, television, radio and the Internet. The evidence is very, very compelling, and, of course, the Democrat Party has blood all over their hands when it comes to pushing this insidious agenda. This is now far worse than any progressive would have wanted. The Chinese are very persuasive. . . . They control Hollywood. The buy off the Washington Post through ads, the New York Times and even the China Daily goes to every member of Congress for free, and it’s pushing propaganda. The propaganda is up to your eyeballs thanks to the Chinese. . . .They buy off politicians, and we see this left and right. . . . The Chinese set a ‘honey trap’ for Congressman Eric Swalwell. . . . The list goes on.”

In closing, Maginnis says, “This is very dangerous if we don’t turn this around and turn it around quickly. . . . We have to get involved. I am writing members of Congress daily . . . and I am speaking out as much as I can. I am contributing to legal funds, and I am contributing to candidates that will support what I believe to be right. These are things we have to do and not sit on our duffs and watch this country be destroyed, and that is what they are doing.”

I read this week that Nancy Pelosi's hometown of San Francisco has a "zero waste goal" of keeping 80% of its human detritus out of landfills. I am sure this is gratifying to her suburban white-privileged supporters, but for those who are not in San Fran Nan's high-income class, Pelosiville has become the continental poop capital. That is a distinction it has held for three years now, and some blocks in this once fair city now look and smell like Calcutta.

When you aren't avoiding panhandlers and thugs, you've got to be careful not to step on hypodermic needles or in human waste.

After passing the city's largest tax increase ever to pay 19,000 employees more than $150,000 per year, the city managed to find enough left over to buy 260 tents for its downtown "safe sleeping villages" for vagrants — at a mere $60,000 each.

I know what you're thinking: "That is twice the cost of a one-bedroom apartment in San Fran, so those must be some big tents." Nope, those are your basic family-size sleepers, but Pelosiville's "homelessness department" expects to only pay $57,000 per tent next year.

That'll fix it!

Last year, while Pelosi was dodging poop and getting her hair done on the sly during the ChiCom Virus lockdown, her lap dog, Mayor London Breed, converted the town into an exit ramp.

According to the latest San Francisco quality of life poll, 80% of residents oppose the Democrats' "defund police" mandates that resulted in dramatic urban crime surges. More than 70% believe that quality of life has declined in the city — for the second year in a row.

Thus, predictably, 40% of residents say they would like to move away. In the inimitable words of Casablanca's Prefecture of Police, Captain Louis Renault, "I'm shocked — shocked — to find [a mass exodus] is going on here!"

Indeed, Zillow's latest "2020 Urban-Suburban Market Report" confirms the exodus is both real and historic.

And it's not just Pelosiville. All of California and New York, the nation's two largest Demo-state chokeholds, are experiencing significant urban flight.

On California's failures, Stanford's most revered historian, Victor Davis Hanson, wrote a prophetic analytical trilogy in 2019, which accurately predicted the current exodus. In "California's Rendezvous with Reality," he wrote:

Californians brag that their state is the world's fifth-largest economy. They talk as reverentially of Silicon Valley companies Apple, Facebook, and Google as the ancient Greeks did of their Olympian gods. Hollywood and universities such as Caltech, Stanford, and Berkeley are cited as permanent proof of the intellectual, aesthetic, and technological dominance of West Coast culture. Californians also see their progressive, one-party state as a neo-socialist model for a nation moving hard to the left. But how long will they retain such confidence?

However, Hanson noted:

California's 40 million residents depend on less than 1 percent of the state's taxpayers to pay nearly half of the state income tax, which for California's highest tier of earners tops out at the nation's highest rate of 13.3 percent. In other words, California cannot afford to lose even a few thousand of its wealthiest individual taxpayers.

Thus he concluded, "A California reckoning is on the horizon, and it may not be pretty."

In "California Has Become America's Cannibal State," he wrote:

For over six years, California has had a top marginal income-tax rate of 13.3 percent, the highest in the nation. About 150,000 households in a state of 40 million people now pay nearly half of the total annual state income tax. The state legislature sold that confiscatory tax rate on the idea that it was a temporary fix and would eventually be phased out. No one believed that.

He concluded: "What is Sacramento's message to those who combine to pay half the state's income taxes and have not yet left California? 'Be gone or we will eat you!'"

In part three, "America's First Third-World State," Hanson wrote:

Third World symptomologies are predictably corrupt government, unequal or nonexistent applicability of the law, two rather than three classes, and the return of medieval diseases. Third World nations suffer from high taxes and poor social services, premodern infrastructure and utilities, poor transportation, tribalism, gangs, and lack of security. Another chief characteristic of a Third World society is the official denial of all of the above, and a vindictive, almost hysterical state response to anyone who points out those obvious tragedies. Another is massive out-migration.

Explaining the lunacy of what has turned California into a Third World hellhole, he writes:

A polarity of importing massive poverty from south of the border while pandering to those who control unprecedented wealth in Silicon Valley, Hollywood, the tourism industry, and the marquee universities. Massive green regulations and boutique zoning, soaring taxes, increasing crime, identity politics and tribalism, and radical one-party progressive government were force multipliers.

He concludes:

If Dianne Feinstein dwelled in an East Palo Alto or Redwood City residence rather than in Pacific Heights, or if all the Pelosi grandchildren had to attend state public schools, then the architects of 21st-century California might have had to live with the consequences of their own dreams and been less eager to inflict their nightmares on the other 40 million Californians. But then again, such a radical divergence between a few insider elites and a massive underclass, with little in between, is perhaps what best defines "Third World."

Indeed.

And it is much the same in New York, where the nation's largest city is plagued with Democrat policies resulting in high taxes and plummeting quality of life, putting New York and neighboring New Jersey at the top of the list for the great Demo-dump exodus. This as Gov. Andrew Cuomo, the elder of the corrupt Cuomo brothers, who was busy cashing in while elders died, is proposing to save his state with a "temporary" $1.5 billion personal income tax increase on his state's highest earners.

Fleeing New Yorkers have cost the city alone an estimated $34 billion in lost income, prompting Manhattan Institute fellow E.J. McMahon to request, "Will the last high earner to leave New York please turn out the lights."

Pelosi and Chuck Schumer are still trying to reverse the state and local tax deduction limitations on federal returns for their wealthy benefactors — limitations signed into law by Donald Trump in 2017. But it is not tax deductions that are fueling the flight — it is that Demos have turned their cities into violent cesspools.

Meanwhile, Joe Biden, Kamala Harris, Pelosi, and Schumer want to drag all of America down their socialist rat holes.

The reality is that the exodus from these states, and other Demo-dominions, will result in higher concentrations of socialist crazies left behind.

Finally, some of the people fleeing California and New York are those hypocritical rich liberals, the self-anointed "intelligentsia" who lord over the leftist proletariat and are tolerated only for the graft they dispense to all manner of liberal causes and campaigns. Their arrival in conservative states like Texas and Tennessee is raising concerns that these "Leftugees" will poison the wells here. That is a threat which local conservative groups had best beware.

While all of the infernal names are said to reside in the Royal Palace of Hell, four are set apart as being particularly powerful. These are known to LaVeyan Satanists as the crown princes of Hell.

Each prince is associated with a cardinal direction: north, south, east and west. This is in line with other Western magical practices that commonly associate supernatural beings with the cardinal points. Specifically, ceremonial magic has commonly ascribed the four Biblical archangels—Michael, Raphael, Uriel, and Gabriel—to the four directions for several hundred years.

In the Satanic Bible, Anton LaVey also associates each prince with one of the four physical elements: fire, earth, air, and water. This is again a common practice in Western magical traditions.

Satan

Satan is a Hebrew term meaning "adversary." Unlike the common Christian view of Satan as opposing the will of God, in his original context, Satan was a servant of God. He tested the faith of God's followers by being adversarial toward them, tempting them to stray from God's path or denounce him in their moments of misery.

For Satanists, he is:

"The adversary of: mundanity, mediocrity, right hand path, stupidity, conformity for the sake of conformity, self destruction, religion, gods."

He is associated in the Satanic Bible with the element of fire and the south.

Lucifer

The Book of Isaiah addresses the Babylonian king by a phrase that translates roughly to "Day Star, Son of the Dawn." When Christians translated the passage into Latin, the term was rendered as Lucifer. This literally means "morning star," and it came to erroneously be considered a proper name.

There is nothing in Isaiah that associates Lucifer with Satan, but the imagery of Lucifer as a fallen angel struck a chord with Christians. The association of Lucifer with Satan was further cemented in the Christian mind by works such as Dante's Divine Comedy and Milton's Paradise Lost.

The Satanic Bible celebrates the original meaning of the name, describing Lucifer as the "bringer of light, enlightenment," (p. 57) and associating him with air and the east. He is a person's inner light, which society attempts to drag into the darkness of conformity.

It is important to note that Luciferians have a slightly different view of Lucifer.

Belial

The Hebrew term Belial is generally translated to mean "without worth," although the "Satanic Bible" uses a less often used translation "without a master." In the New Testament, the term is used as a synonym for Satan. He is also frequently associated with sex, lust, confusion, and darkness.

The "Satanic Bible" also associates Belial with independence, the earth, and the north, the direction of darkness.

Earth is the element of grounding and realism. It keeps people's feet on the ground rather than having their head in the clouds, confused by self-deceit and external influence. Earth is also commonly associated with fertility and thus with sex and lust, referring back to the common Christian understanding of Belial.

Leviathan

The Books of Psalms, Job, and Isaiah all mention a great sea creature called Leviathan. In these texts, Leviathan is monstrous but not demonic, as Christians often understand the beast to be. Leviathan may also have its origins in Tiamat and Lotan, both monstrous Mesopotamian creatures that sow chaos and are eventually slain by hero-gods.

For Satanists, Leviathan is:

"A great sea monster, sexual desire, from out of the unknown and feared depths. The hidden truth; the hidden and horrible nature of existence and struggle. Under the Rothschild Mansion in the Black Forest there is a colony of these individuals. In that forest there is a old tree called the Grandfather tree, with a cavern just below, and the roots hang down from the ceiling. Sacrifices are brought to the ground around the grandfather tree and blood drips down the roots. These Black Eyed people feast and bathe in it. So from those memories, I can not connect Gilgamesh as being a good being. I only saw him as a demon and saw the evil in his heart.

After taking heat from conservatives, IRS changes course to grant Christian group tax-exempt status

The IRS previously rejected the group because the 'Bible's teachings are typically affiliated with the Republican Party and candidates'

Following legal pressure and significant backlash on social media, the Internal Revenue Service on Wednesday reversed course to grant a Christian nonprofit organization tax-exempt status.

The IRS had previously rejected the status to the group, known as Christians Engaged, arguing its mission of educating and empowering Christians to engage in America's civics process was partisan by default since Christians usually align with Republican candidates.

In a rejection letter issued in May, the IRS informed Christians Engaged that it was disqualified from holding the status because the "Bible's teachings are typically affiliated with the Republican Party and candidates."

News of the group's rejection immediately sparked outrage among conservatives and was picked up by many right-leaning media outlets.

But the nonprofit didn't take the news lying down. It responded with a legal challenge to the rejection, enlisting help from religious liberty law firm First Liberty Institute, which filed an appeal last month.

On Wednesday, First Liberty Institute announced in a press release that the IRS had changed its mind following a review of the matter.

The law firm noted, "The reversal [came] after a national backlash against the IRS's initial rejection of Christians Engaged's nonprofit status."

"This is truly great news for our client, as well as religious organizations and churches across America," said Lea Patterson, counsel for First Liberty Institute, in a statement. "We are grateful the IRS changed course to bring its decision into line with the Constitution and its own regulations."

Christians Engaged President Bunni Pounds added, "I am incredibly thankful to the IRS for doing the right thing, and we look forward to continuing our mission of educating more followers of Jesus to pray for our nation and to be civically engaged. When we stand up, our republic works for all Americans."

On its website, Christians Engaged states that it "exists to awaken, motivate, educate, and empower ordinary believers in Jesus Christ to: pray for our nation and elected officials regularly, vote in every election to impact our culture, [and] engage our hearts in some form of political education or activism for the furtherance of our nation."

But the IRS originally disagreed, accusing the group of engaging in "prohibited political campaign intervention."

"Specifically, you educate Christians on what the Bible says in areas where they can be instrumental including the areas of sanctity of life, the definition of marriage, biblical justice, freedom of speech, defense, and borders and immigration, U.S. and Israel relations," IRS exempt organizations director Stephen Martin charged in the initial rejection letter.

Under federal law, a religious organization can obtain tax-exempt status so long as it operates exclusively for charitable or educational purposes and does "not attempt to influence legislation" or "participate in any campaign activity for or against political candidates."

I'm an American. Full stop. I know this in my bones like I know I love my children more than I love...well, anyone else's children. It's not that I don't love anyone else's children, because I do. But let's be clear, here. I love mine more and it's not even close.

That's how I feel about America. Nothing personal Great Britain or France or anywhere else, but I love America more. And don't get me started about Canada.

If America is taken care of, by all means, help other places. Here's the Biblical principle from I Timothy 5:8:

But if anyone does not provide for his own, and especially for those of his household, he has denied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever.

It's no good to act all high and mighty and self-righteous and then not take care of your own.

Why do I bring this up? Because we've had a ruling class both Left and Right possessed of a pseudo-noblesse-oblige where they traded the health of their own family to enrich themselves with the filthy lucre of foreign countries under the guise of raising up the people there. We're blessed, the thinking goes, we should help them.

And my answer is yes, America has been blessed. But we don't spend our own children's future to enrich ourselves now, and pretend we're doing it for noble reasons.

America's corporations and those who govern her are far more concerned with their own pocketbooks than what is right. They will happily send checks out to Americans, making them slaves to the government rather than keeping jobs in America to keep a healthy middle class.

In our print magazine, which should be in your homes, there's more discussion of this principle. We should return to being the party of Lincoln. Read in the magazine what that means.

AMERICAN CULTURE

People forget that a fairly big contingent in the United States didn't want independence. They were content with British hegemony.

It's been a small minority of humans over history who prize independence. Most prefer to be part of the herd. It's safer to belong, to blend in, to go with the crowd.

There was an excellent thread on Twitter about the human nature revealed during the Pandemic. I urge you to go read every word of it. I'll share a couple gems as quotes:

PAHO spokesman Daniel Epstein said Haiti has not yet completed all the regulatory steps to authorize the import of the AstraZeneca shots. It also only recently completed several legal and administrative processes required by COVAX and vaccine producers.

“There are some administrative and legal processes regarding decisions that were made just a few days ago,” Ugarte said. “We need to complete the processes so that Haiti can receive vaccines.”

The country is so far behind in preparing for the shots that even when offered free vaccines through India earlier this year, the government asked that they be sent later, an official said.

In February, India offered Haiti 10,000 doses of Covishield, the India-produced version of the AstraZeneca vaccine, as part of the nation’s efforts to ship vaccines to low and middle-income countries in the region. But the country wasn’t ready to store and administer the shots, and ended up asking India to hold off and try sending them again later, Dr. Lauré Adrien, the director general of Haiti’s Ministry of Public Health and Population confirmed to the Miami Herald.

Adrien said that without a well-established vaccination strategy and proper storage it “just didn’t make much sense” to accept the donation at the time.

“We would end up with 10,000 doses that would have been expired and need to be destroyed,” Adrien said. “We had to postpone it to a later date in time for us to assure good use of this precious but perishable gift.”

The country also raised concerns about storage and conservation of COVID-19 vaccines with Gavi, the Geneva-based public-private vaccine alliance that is leading COVAX with the WHO.
