Donald Trump has widened his
lead in Ohio over Hillary Clinton, according to a new poll that rarely favors
Trump.
The poll, conducted over the weekend by Selzer & Co. and sponsored by Bloomberg Politics, shows Trump leading Clinton by 44 to 39%, with Johnson pulling 10% and Stein 3%.
Trump’s result is being led on by the Republican incumbent Senate candidate, Rob Portman who is crushing his opponent, Ted Strickland, the former governor, by a 53 to 36% margin.
Trump’s 5 point lead is his biggest of the year in the must-win state of Ohio, which, only a month ago was still in doubt.
The poll was started the day after the televised Commander-in-Chief forum, which Trump was generally considered the winner; and ran until the day after Clinton’s 9/11 collapse. Click the links below.
