Russia warns Greece of retaliation if it sends S-300 air defence systems to Ukraine

Greece's plan to arm war-torn Ukraine in its fight against Russia has angered the Kremlin. Moscow has threatened Athens with consequences if it goes ahead and supplies the S-300 air defence system from the Soviet era to Kiev. The Russian foreign minister has called it an "openly hostile act" and a violation of Moscow-Athens treaties. Greece stated that it would provide S-300 missiles to Ukraine in exchange for the Patriot missile system (MIM-104).
