Watchman comment: Senators have staffs, did not Senate staffers inform their bosses of Garland’s true, “swamper” background.
Are these people
below too corrupt, too lazy or incompent to investigate someone like Garland?
All of us hear things
about prominent people in our home towns. For example, I know true stories
about politicians, businessmen, pastors and local celebrities, we all do. Are
you telling me these senators never heard a peep of gossip or true stories
about Garland. What the hell do they do at their cocktail parties? Don’t answer
that question.
Except for a handful
of politicians in Washington e.g. Rand Paul and Tom Massie I say “screw” all
politicians red and blue.
Portman sure showed
his true colors after he announced his retirement!
When
Garland was confirmed in March 2021, only 30 of 50 Republican
senators voted against it. The other 20 — Senators Blunt, Burr, Capito,
Cassidy, Collins, Cornyn, Ernst, Graham, Grassley, Inhofe, Johnson, Lankford,
McConnell, Moran, Murkowski, Portman, Romney, Rounds,
Thune, and Tillis — all joined Democrats to approve Garland’s nomination.
