Zelensky vs Russian envoy war of words at key UNSC meet on
Ukraine
Ukraine president Volodymyr Zelensky and
Russian envoy to the UN engaged in a war of words on Wednesday at the United
Nations Security Council which had convened a meeting to discuss the situation
in war-torn Ukraine. Zelensky lashed Russia for its invasion of Ukraine and
warned the world of a radiation catastrophe at Europe's largest nuclear plant
currently under Russian control in Ukraine. The Russian envoy hit back at the
Ukraine president and defended his country's military operation against Kyiv.

Putin key aide assassinated in Ukraine; Car bomb kills head of
Russia-held Mykhailivka Town
In a latest
in the series of assassinations of Russian-installed officials in occupied
areas of Ukraine. Russian proxy leader of Mykhailivka town in the
Russian-controlled part of Zaporizhzhia region was killed in a car bomb.
Purported footage on social media shows Ivan Sushko's car exploding near a
bridge. On August 6, The deputy head of the town of Novaya Kakhovka was shot

Politico Calls Out Ukraine For War Crimes!
Immediately
upon publication of a recent report criticizing the Ukrainian military for
using civilians as human shields, Amnesty International was roundly accused of
spreading pro-Russian propaganda – this despite numerous previous Amnesty
reports calling out war crimes and human rights abuses committed by the Russian
military. Now Politico has leapt to Amnesty’s defense with an opinion piece
arguing that a human rights organization like Amnesty isn’t supposed to take
sides but rather report on the reality of crimes committed by any participant
in hostilities. Jimmy and The DIve host Jackson Hinkle discuss why a decidedly
establishment outlet like Politico would be willing to defend Amnesty for going
out on a limb to criticize the saintly Ukrainians.

The siege of Avdiivka continues after capturing
75% of Marinka. The siege of the grouping of Armed Forces of Ukraine near
Avdiivka, Donetsk front continues. Russian Armed Forces said it had captured
75% of Marinka population and development of an attack on Avdiivka was ongoing.
During the siege, Russian and allied troops carried out air, artillery, and
tank attacks that demilitarized Ukrainian equipment and manpower and trench
fortified.

The 6th
Cossack Regiment unit of Lugansk People's Republic demonstrated the ability on

Amid Russian invasion, Ukraine today marked
31 years of independence. In an emotional speech, President Volodymyr Zelensky
told Ukrainians that their country had been 'reborn' when Russia invaded and
that it would never give up its fight for freedom from Moscow's domination. In
a recorded speech aired on the six-month anniversary of Russia's Feb. 24
invasion, Zelensky said Ukraine no longer saw the war ending when the fighting
stopped but when Kyiv finally emerged victorious. Meanwhile, Russian President
Vladimir Putin's ally Alexander Dugin vowed revenge as he attended his
daughter's funeral in Moscow. Darya Dugina was killed in an explosion. She was
hailed as a 'martyr' during her memorial service on Tuesday. Watch this video

Amid continued invasion of Ukraine by Russia, a
video footage of Ukrainian military targets being struck by Uragan multiple
rocket launcher systems has been made public by the Russian Defense Ministry.
In the clip, several missiles can be seen fired from the MLRS also known as 'Hurricane'
during the night-time. This comes just days after Russia claimed to have
destroyed a munitions depot in the Odessa region of Ukraine that had missiles
for the United States multiple rocket launchers HIMARS. Watch this video for
