Israel's fighter jets bomb Syria; Putin's troops claim Russian
weapons used for counter attack
In a fresh
offensive against Iran-linked targets in Syria, Israel pounded a research
facility in the city of Masyaf. As per Russian forces based in Syria Israeli
jets launched a total of four cruise missiles and 16 guided aerial bombs. News
agencies Tass and RIA reported that Syrian troops using Russian-made
anti-aircraft weapons shot down two missiles and seven guided bombs. A senior
Russian officer said the attacks damaged equipment at the facility. Watch this

Israel destroys 1,000 Iran-made missiles in Syria; Attack days
after US airstrikes
A Syrian opposition war monitor, UK-based
Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (Watchman comment: a very strong anti-Assad
group) has said that Israel struck a missile warehouse containing more than
1,000 Iranian-made missiles on August 25. The targeted warehouse reportedly
stored thousands of missiles assembled under the supervision of Islamic
Revolutionary Guard Corps(IRGC). Satellite images obtained from Planet Labs
show the extent of damage to the Syrian weapons base. Israel has made hundreds
of strikes on targets inside government-controlled parts of Syria but has
rarely acknowledged its operations. It has, however, admitted to targeting
bases Iran backed militias, including Lebanon’s militant Hezbollah group.

Second airstrike by U.S military on Iran-backed militants in
Syria as fighting intensifies
The US says it conducted two rounds of air
strikes in eastern Syria in one day against militant groups affiliated to Iran.
The US called it a retaliation against the rocket attack on its bases which
injured three U.S personnel on Wednesday. U.S military called the latest air
raids a 'clear message to Iranian-backed groups attempting to harm Americans
based in Syria that their actions must stop'. The U.S. has stationed troops in
Syria to fight ISIS and provide humanitarian assistance to the country but have
sporadically clashed with Iran-backed militias.
