One Year Down and a Critical Year Ahead Elections have consequences, and we certainly have seen them in the Biden Administration. Open borders, globalism, inflation, dependence on foreign energy resources, "wokeness" in our military and corporations, as well as ongoing threats to our US Constitutional order. Yet within the chaotic turmoil, we have seen wonderful stories of success. Ordinary citizens are banding together and refusing to let America become a socialist nation. In 2022, we have to regain levers of power by winning the House of Representatives and the Senate. It will take all of us to win elections and reset our path which has been taken off-course by the Democrats. Together we can SAVE AMERICA. Celebrating 2021: Our Best-in-Class Honorees and A Winner As we have done in previous years, we reviewed 2021 for standout people and events. To the following, we give our special thanks. The investigative reporters researching what really occurred on January 6th and the government's alleged role in the event. Also, the attorneys arguing to dismiss charges or provide speedy trials for the J6 detainees. Elizabeth MacDonough, the Senate parliamentarian, who rejected allowing illegals to become US citizens as part of the Build Back Better bill. In this, her 3rd ruling on the issue, she blocked permanent residency and citizenship for 6.5 million illegals, indicating budget reconciliation is not the proper vehicle for determining citizenship. Republican-led efforts to obtain a true cost analysis from the Congressional Budget Office for the Build Back Better bill. The analysis proved the bill did not pay for itself as Biden touted. (Democrats vow to bring the bill back in 2022 until they get it passed.) Texas for starting to build the southern border wall, even though the Biden Administration won't let them use wall parts already purchased. Dr. Carol Swaim and Robert Woodson for their ongoing efforts to convert schools from Critical Race Theory to the 1776 Curriculum and patriotic education. Healthcare professionals for providing compassionate patient care throughout the COVID pandemic. Police officers, border patrol and firefighters for their selfless efforts in protecting our cities and neighborhoods. Patriots who continue to investigate and learn from the 2020 election. OHBGA's 2021 WINNER IS... The "Mama Bears and Papa Bears" who saw what was going wrong in their children's lives and took action. They prevailed at school boards meetings and at the ballot box. They didn't leave their children's futures to others, but ran for office to protect their children. We honor them as our Best-in-Class Winner and express our appreciation and gratitude. Biden and Democrats Are Not in Step with Voters Only 4% of Registered Voters consider the economy as "Excellent" under Biden Just 22% of Americans want Biden to run again, with support for Harris at 12% 69% of Americans disapprove of Biden's handling of inflation Democrats are losing Hispanic voter support Young people are souring on Biden In addition to Biden's tanking poll numbers, 23 House Democrats have indicated they will not run for re-election. This opens up an opportunity for Republicans. Laws and Court Rulings The Supreme Court scheduled Oral Arguments on January 7th for two cases: "a vaccine-or-test mandate for workers at large employers, and a vaccine mandate for health care workers at facilities that receive federal funding." The District Court of Georgia ordered the Biden Administration to halt their vaccine mandate for federal contractors. The Biden Administration's request for a stay against the injunction was denied. 24 States sued the Biden Administration regarding child mask requirements and mandatory staff vaccinations for Head Start programs. A federal judge in Louisiana blocked the mandate for all 24 states, indicating it is an infringement on states' rights. The Biden Administration's Department of Education dropped the collection of statistics on alleged sexual misconduct of school staff. This decision is now under review due to opposition by Conservatives. The U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit denied the Biden Administration's latest appeals request to end the "Remain in Mexico" border policy. The Administration has asked the Supreme Court to hear arguments on ending the policy. The Born Alive Infant Protection Act was passed by the Ohio Legislature and signed by Governor DeWine. US taxpayer dollars are being used by a UN-supported group to provide cash or pre-paid debit cards to illegal migrants "Ghost flights" of alleged illegals into the US interior reported. These are flights, sometimes at night, without passenger manifests and believed to be transporting illegal immigrants. Questions are being raised whether these illegal immigrants have "undergone background checks and health screenings, and why no one was notified that this was happening.” In contrast to this type of resettlement effort under Biden, deportations of illegals have dropped to the lowest levels in several decades.
