	We need to help educate Ohio’s Republican Leaders that we are tired of them painting our politics with pale pastels. We need bold red politics if Ohio is to survive! They are having a launch event so that other like-minded conservatives can get involved with their movement and learn how to help support the effort (with volunteer work or with funds). One of the cheapest and easiest ways to realize a better Ohio is to reform a political party. One of the easiest ways is to run for a State Central Committee seat or a County Central Committee seat. The goal is to get enough like-minded Republicans to run and win to affect change. Ohio Promise Keeper's Website While Ohio Promise Keepers are championing 14 vital reforms for the Ohio Republican Party, just two of the reforms stand out. The need for a State-specific platform and reviving the Republican State Convention every two years. COMPLAINING DOESN’T FIX ANYTHING The pandemic was a real eye-opener for a lot of Republicans for just how quickly the current powers in charge will trample your freedoms and the freedoms of your children. Thousands of Ohioans voiced their displeasure with how their government was working, yet nothing happened, and it was business as usual at the top. While conservatives racked up a few small wins - this was due to the self-evident and undeniable schism between the SWAMP and REFORMISTS. If you are frustrated and tired of complaining - it is time to help take the Party back and make it much more conservative. WHY WE CAN WIN Why a Platform is so Important Enough people are unhappy with their State government. They are fed up with being sold a bill of goods - only for them to never be delivered upon. We can use that to get new people elected. Ohioans are unhappy with the swamp. People can intuitively understand that there is strength in numbers. They can know that when Republicans work together as a TEAM - That Everyone Achieves More. The Promise Keepers movement is a team effort brought together with a pledge to reform the Party. The Promise Keepers movement actually stands for something - a platform to define what the State Party plans to accomplish. The Ohio Republican Party does not have a State Platform of realistic goals they want to implement. Instead, they adopt the national platform and say their work is done. The federal platform is a set of national objectives, not Ohio's state-specific objectives. The (ORP) Ohio Republican Party leaders have deferred their duty to define the goals of the Party to the national organization. What would happen if our legislators decided to do the same thing? We are supposed to be a Republic of separate states - all making their own decisions - we are not a nation. Does the ORP leadership realize the example they are setting? THE STATE CENTRAL COMMITTEE WILL FIGHT TOOTH AND NAIL TO STAND FOR NOTHING The State Central Committee will fight tooth and nail to stand for nothing because this stance maintains the swamp and illicit smoke-filled backroom deals. A third of the State Central Committee is naturally more moderate, and a third is more conservative. The last third of the committee is controlled by special interests that have allegiances, not to the Party or their constituents, but to the politicians that appointed them or the companies, they are lobbyists for. They are against a State Platform because they do not want you to know their actual plan. After all, they know you will be outraged. When the Party focuses its efforts on a publicly stated platform for all to see, people expect to get things accomplished. You can measure the success of the Party, make judgments, and make changes if needed. If we never expect a promise to get something done with a contract or platform - we'll never get a promise, and not much will ever get done. This is why defining the Party and getting all of our legislators working together on the same issues is so important. Make no mistake, the swamp will tell you they have a platform - the national platform, and they will argue that the state party should stand for nothing and be defined by their handpicked candidates - rather than by Ohioans. That is the way they want it, and that is why it is the SWAMP. Reviving the State Convention and Why it is so Important. Why a State Convention is So Important It is important that we quit sending yes-men to manage the Party. Party leaders such as John Kasich may have notions of how the Party should operate that are disconnected from a majority of Ohioans. The protection against the Party becoming disconnected from a majority of Republicans was the State Convention. If Kasich and DeWine wanted to embrace a more liberal and sensitive Republican Party - we had our chance to say "no" to them at the State Convention. We could say, "Sorry, but that is not the course we want to chart."  The State Convention was a check on the balance of power and helped to ensure that State Central Committee members did not simply become yes-men and allow the course they chart for Ohio to become secretive. Ask the State Central Committee leaders - "Just what is the plan to put Ohio back on top?" They won't be able to give you an answer.  The State Convention empowered the County parties. But, of course, because we have not had a State Convention in almost a half-century, many dejected and frustrated Republicans stopped caring - because their voice stood for nothing. As a result, many Republicans stopped being Republicans - and Ohio gave up leading the world in science, technology, manufacturing, and business because political troglodytes feel the need to tell us how to live and enrich themselves at our expense. So, yes, your county party may be bad now (we do have many excellent county parties in Ohio), but it will get better very quickly with a State Convention. You can even demand a County Convention to draft a county platform, municipal and township platforms, and School district platforms. This helps to keep the County Party honest and is a great way to raise money for the County Party. If we can revive the State Convention - we will revive interest in the Party at the local level. As a result, we will have strong county parties again and a State party that is more accountable to the people. WE ARE NOT A DARK MONEY ORGANIZATION Chairman Paduchik throwing money at what he terms “Dark Money Organizations” ORP CHAIRMAN PADUCHIK is at it again - he is trying to marginalize reform efforts by insinuating that the Committee for a Better Ohio and Reformers are somehow a Dark money - evil and malevolent organization. We believe he is so used to slinging mud and demonizing the opposition that he does not know how to have substantive discussions with Republicans. The State Central Committee meetings should be a place for robust debate and discussions that concern the future of Ohio. When those discussions do not take place for fear of retaliation - it truly is tyranny that we are living under. The chairman’s august actions in removing whistleblowers from their committee assignments is disgraceful - as is his belief that “traditions” over-rule bylaws and that he has unlimited discretionary spending to support unendorsed candidates. We know Bob’s agenda is to get DeWine and Timken elected. If you want to stop that please help our effort.
