In a dream last night, I
was preparing to go through the procedure to end an unexpected pregnancy.
Throughout the preparation I didn’t think anything of it, other than the fact
that I hadn’t planned on this. My entire thought process was that this was
normal, routine, and easily justified because of my life.
It wasn’t until I was
getting closer to the table that I suddenly realized what I was doing. This was
an abortion! It was like waking up from a nightmare. As much as I tried to account
for my blind reasoning, I had to face the reality that I was going to kill an
unborn child!
I was horrified to
realize what I was about to do. I couldn’t believe that I had actually
surrendered my mind to a lie and trap that would have made me complicit to
murder. I saw myself standing in the waiting room in utter shock. How did I
ever get here!?
Upon waking, I was amazed
at how I could have been so blind and deceived. And yet, I knew the Lord was
giving me a taste of the level of demonic deception that’s in our nation. Good
people have come under a delusion, not just concerning abortion, but about
numerous other life-altering decisions that will forever change who we are.
Whether it’s about the jab, a gender transition, or turning someone into the police
for not masking, the power of delusion blinds a person from reality. It blocks
their ability to reason and see the destructive end result of their choices.
“See to
it that no one takes you captive by philosophy and empty deceit, according to
human tradition, according to the elemental spirits of the world, and not
according to Christ.” (Colossians 2:8 ESV)
In my dream, I had
allowed myself to be LED BY A LIE. Instead of stopping and considering the
ramifications of the decision, I simply followed the tide. Everyone else did
it...they said it was normal...there’s no need to question the
reasoning.... It wasn’t until I stopped to listen to my own heart and
conscience that the lie lost hold. A light turned on and the fear of the Lord
returned.
We must continue to
exhort one another towards righteousness and truth (Hebrews 3:12-13). Take the
time to stop, look, and listen to the heart of God. We can’t allow the Pied
Piper of Propaganda to lead us into a pit of no return. The Spirit of Truth
wants to come with REVELATION to shine the light on the works of darkness.
Deception may cause blindness and a hardened heart, but the fear of the Lord
brings peace and clarity like nothing else will.
“You therefore, beloved, knowing this beforehand, take care that you are not carried away with the error of lawless people and lose your own stability. But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To Him be the glory both now and to the day of eternity. Amen.” (2 Peter 3:17-18)

The July construction spending figures looked promising at first
glance. Total construction spending was up by three-tenths of a percentage
point, beating expectations for a two-tenths gain. The figure for the
previous month was revised up as well. Both public and private sector
spending climbed. New single-family home construction spending rose 0.5
percent, and even nonresidential spending--which has been badly depressed
through the age of Covid--managed to tick up a tenth of a point.
The financial media treated the figures as "better than
expected news." Few asked how it could be that single-family
construction spending rose in the month when housing starts declined and
homebuilder sentiment fell to the lowest level in thirteen months. If those
homebuilders had suddenly turned dour, why were they spending so much to
build homes? The answer, of course, is inflation. Taken together, the data
show that we paid more to build fewer homes in July. In real terms, home
building contracted in July despite soaring demand and a shortage of homes on
the market.
So why was everyone fooled by this illusion of growth? It's
likely that a decade and a half of very low inflation has simply put people
out of practice when it comes to distinguishing between nominal and real
growth. We have not had to worry about how much of a rising number merely
reflects higher prices, so it's easy to mistake inflationary growth for real
growth. That's a bad habit the financial media and investors will have to
shake as inflation persists from Biden's Bummer Summer into the autumn
