I don't know what is worse: That Biden is mentally addled or that he's made his choices willfully. I don't know what's worse: That Biden ignored his Generals' recommendations or that he took them. I don't know what's worse: That the State Department and DOD are at war or if they're working together. I don't know what's worse: That General Milley accidentally gave away $65 billion plus in American military equipment to terrorists or he did it on purpose. I don't know what's worse: That we're lead by idiots or lead by people who hate America? The results of any of these things is the same: America is diminished. Biden's actions killed and is killing Americans and our allies. Terrorism will get worse and now with American weapons. America is lead by bad people. The entire of the elite is utterly corrupt. We are only eight months into a disaster. Do the American people have the sense to see what they've done? Can they sustain the knowledge of their own hubris and shame and do differently going forward? Color me skeptical. We're a nation of form over substance now. Biden lies, and worse, he believes his own lies...and too many others do, too. You mad, Bro? I started this email a little over a week ago. The aftermath of the Afghanistan pull out was so terrible that I had to wait and get more perspective. (Plus, it's been a very busy week.) A week before that, I predicted in this newsletter that Biden would turn to tyranny in America to cover for his humiliation abroad. The more he alienates his own citizens, the angrier he'll get at them. Biden was angry this afternoon. Furious. He's scapegoating the people who have thus far refused to get vaccinated. The biggest group of unvaccinated Americans? Black people. Even vaccinated people can spread COVID. The benefit of vaccination seems to be that those who are vaccinated have lighter cases and less risk of dying. Solid benefits – especially for high-risk groups. Encouraging the vaccine is fine. But mandating it? The mandate, alone, undermines the presumed efficacy of the thing. No one has to mandate a life-saving elixir. It sells itself. So why the mandate, why the pressure on businesses, why are postal workers exempt if this is for health reasons (they go door to door, after all) and why is President Biden so angry? President Biden is enraged because his policies are failures and there's no hiding the failure. He's angry that the country has turned on him for how he handled Afghanistan. He can't have a big 9/11 speech now. Well, he could, if he had any courage. Instead, there will be a video. And the twenty years ends as it began: a terrorist mess. He's mad at the governors of Texas and Florida and he's mad at their citizens. He saw the joyous crowds at college football games and he can see his power over the masses slipping away. So he's going full tyrant beast mode. Every bit of this is political, not about public health. This is the beginning. It will get worse. We are nine months into this disaster. It was a stupid marriage. Anyone who knew the two people knew it was a stupid marriage. One mate decided, at long last, to end the bleeding. On the way out, she burned the house down, let the dogs loose and they were run over, had an affair with a criminal, lied to everyone, betrayed her friends by sleeping with their husbands, and left tragedy and death in her wake. But she promised that she'd sign the paperwork on September 11th. I mean, no, now, August 31st. And she didn't keep any other promises but she kept that one. NOW THANK HER FOR DIVORCING YOU, YOU UNGRATEFUL JERK! Oh, you lost your dignity and self-respect in addition to your house, your bank account, your children, and your dogs? Why aren't you thankful? She kept her word. Wait, not exactly. But she ended it! Give her a ribbon and a gift. She's a hero. She ended the marriage JUST LIKE YOU WANTED. It's a strained metaphor, I know. America's house is in flames. Friends and neighbors wonder what the hell is happening. And Joe Biden is in the White House demanding praise and no questions, wondering why anyone is upset with him. His supporters just won't stop, though. There's always those people in the divorce who are friends with the nut, who believe every falsehood and lie, and eagerly blame the mentally stable spouse. Maybe they get something out of the psycho relationship like a job or social standing. Maybe they hate the normie because they want to justify their own cheating and scheming and nasty ways. Maybe they committed to the psycho in some way and now can't admit they're wrong after seeing all the destruction – it's embarrassing to be so wrong. At least the paperwork was signed on August 31st. Be proud. The Anecdote to Anger is Joy How do we know the anecdote to anger is joy? Well, just look at all the joy-filled college football stadiums and people singing, dancing, and celebrating. Evil hates a sense of humor, hates comedy, hates joy. The Taliban's first act? Ban music. So when you get discouraged, just jump. Remember to be a happy warrior! Final Thoughts I considered listing some of the insanely evil crimes that have been in the news recently – extraordinarily depraved stuff. There seems to be widespread unbalancedness (is that a word?) that is leading to widespread violence. People are quicker to anger and to tears. They're quicker to physical altercations. They are consumed with irrational thoughts that are leading to bizarre actions. Why have people lost the idea of risk and benefit and relative risks? I'm including this chart below from Justin Hart. When you look at the numbers and risks, the fear seems insane. Especially crazy are the fears about children and COVID. Unvaccinated children are at less risk from COVID than fully vaccinated adults. In England, children are going to school without masks. In America, we're tormenting our children. But this is a side point. My point is that people are afraid and fearful and irrational and on edge. When looking at odds like this, demonstrated below, it seems crazy. But maybe that's just it. It's all crazy-making and people are losing it. Humans have had many frenzies in the past. Just study Rwanda where neighbors went against neighbors they'd known their whole lives. This kind of nuttiness is dangerous and feels otherworldly. Seemingly normal people are losing it. And that's when I think of Ephesians 6:12: For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the powers, against the world forces of this darkness, against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places. Remembering that the bots and weirdos on social media, the freaked out talking heads in the media, our political leaders, and many of our friends, family and neighbors are in the grips of something beyond them, helps us distance ourselves from anger toward them.
