You mentioned Sweden, but note Denmark has removed all COVID mandates and restrictions, including masks.

A British study showed out of 126,000 covid deaths, only 26 were under the age of 12, and all had associated health issues, a weak heart, obese, severe asthma, etc.
Another study is from the data from Michigan kept monthly death rates from all causes. Keep in mind that the overall monthly deaths in MI are rising, as the baby boomers succumb, so totals are somewhat higher than say 2015, but not by much. Here is a link to the chart once again.
Monthly Death Counts
Note that the deaths from all causes in June of 2020 was 8,271. In June of 2021, it was 8,113. Same means normal. We all agree the pandemic was in full swing in April of 2020, where the chart shows 13,084 deaths from all causes, of which 3,439 were from Covid. April of 2021 shows a mere 9,841 from all causes, 1,544 from covid. In April of 2019, deaths from all causes was 7,986, no covid deaths, but 140 extra from Flu and Septic disease that have been added to the covid side in 2021. The numbers are there.
The trend in 'cases' may be up, but the important number, deaths, shows we are normal, and have been for many months. Conclusion? Our kids are safe from the virus. The virus successfully was used to steal an election, via fear and let's use absentee ballots for everyone, and now, with the Delta variant and others, the media wants a repeat for the 2022 election, let's promote fear in parents for our school kids, and mandate masks, and overlook the ineptness at the border and Afghanistan shall we?
Danger! the hospitals are full! . . . There is no room in the ICUs. Not really. They are full because they are making money from knee, hip and other operations, and other illnesses besides the virus. The average in hospitals due to Covid ls around 5% of capacity. Hardly overwhelming the hospitals. Most hospitals, per a Crain report, state 2-3% with covid related patients.
Wait! What about other countries and their kids? How are they dealing with this? We all love Sweden. They did a study on school kids and covid. The study, titled “Open Schools, Covid-19 and Child and Teacher Morbidity in Sweden,” found in summary:
“Despite Sweden’s having kept schools and preschools open, researchers have found a low incidence of severe Covid-19 among schoolchildren and children of preschool age during the SARS-CoV-2 pandemic. . . . No child with Covid-19 died. . . . Among the 1,951,905 MILLION children who were 1 to 16 years of age, 15 children had Covid-19, MIS-C, or both conditions and were admitted to an ICU, which is equal to 1 child in 130,000.”
The authors of the study are four medical doctors and scientists who wrote to the New England Journal about their findings: Jonas F. Ludvigsson, M.D., Ph.D., Karolinska Institutet, Stockholm.
Conclusion? The risk for our kids is minuscule, practically zero. There is more risk of them choking on a mask rather than wearing one. A 'case' is not a death. For kids, the cases are mild. For parents, well, they have had their vaccines, right? The media and Biden govt wants a repeat for the 2022 election, which is promote fear in parents and school kids, demand the wearing of masks, and overlook the border and Afghanistan debacles shall we?
