I write to you today with a dire warning. Congress may be on the verge of "compromising" your gun rights away. And if gun rights supporters across America don't act immediately, the next gun grab could be right around the corner. A majority of the U.S. Senate currently supports gun control. Now, Chuck Schumer is talking about using the same tactics they used to pass Obamacare, to bypass the filibuster. If that happens, gun control will be one of the first items on their radical agenda. I've defeated gun grabs before, and you can rest assured that I will do everything I can to stop this attack on the Constitution. But I'm worried that Congress may soon reach a so-called "compromise" that would lead to guns being taken away from law-abiding Americans. That's why I urgently need you to stand with me as I fight back against this. Can I count on you to contribute $100, $50, $25, or $10 immediately? Of course, it is no surprise that Democrats would support measures like "Red Flag laws" that lead to unconstitutional gun grabs. But there are members of my own Republican Party that support these laws too. In fact, a "Red Flag" bill has even been introduced by a Republican member of Congress! And multiple other Republicans in Congress support these unconstitutional measures. The so-called "moderates" in the Democratic Party are even worse on gun control. A few years ago, a majority of the Senate voted for a gun control bill pushed by some of the most "moderate" Democrats. The only reason it didn't become law was because of the filibuster -- a filibuster which I helped to spearhead. But now Democrats are using the "reconciliation" process to avoid the filibuster -- the same tactic they used to pass Obamacare. And the result of that tactic might be a new round of gun control laws. Just recently, at a "Presidential Town Hall," Joe Biden had this to say about gun control: "The idea you need a weapon that can have the ability to fire 20, 30, 40, 50, 120 shots from that weapon, whether it's a 9-millimeter pistol or whether it's a rifle, is ridiculous. I'm continuing to push to eliminate the sale of those things." The message is clear: the Constitution doesn't matter. Your rights are not safe. In fact, just recently, Biden enacted a slew of executive orders aimed squarely at law-abiding American's gun rights. And the list of radical policies being pushed by the Democrats is endless. A few of the lowlights include: *** "Red Flag" gun confiscation, which allows the government to strip you of your gun rights without a hint of due process. There's even support for this dangerous bill in my own Republican Party. *** Banning standard capacity magazines -- restrictions commonly advocated for by anti-gun politicians that would limit magazines to carry as few as seven rounds. *** Banning 9mm handguns, and other popular guns, which Joe Biden recently vowed to do in a "Presidential Town Hall" on national television. The radical Left isn't going to stop pushing to overturn the Second Amendment and take guns out of the hands of law-abiding Americans. That's why I'm taking the lead in fighting for your Second Amendment rights. The Constitution is clear: "The right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed." Politicians have no right to interfere with your God-given liberties! It's critically important that you stand with me in this dangerous time. The anti-gun left has an endless ocean of resources. Michael Bloomberg and his billionaire liberal friends will surely spend millions trying to take Americans' guns away. That's why I hope I can count on you for a generous donation of $100, $50, $25, or $10 right away. Your generous gift will give me and my campaign the resources necessary to mobilize even more pro-Second Amendment Americans and push back against the Democrats' radical anti-gun agenda in the U.S. Senate. Our plan is as simple as it is effective: Build a nationwide coalition of grassroots Americans ready and willing to fight to preserve our Second Amendment. And at the same time, we must shore up wavering colleagues of mine who need to see that the American people oppose gun control. But to do this, we must run an effective mail, email, and digital mobilization campaign that will force politicians in Washington D.C. to stand in defense of our gun rights.
