1. WAPO and the NYT published disgraceful 4th-related screeds. I
hate to be negative, but this is particularly infuriating. Instead of simply
allowing us all to take a break, the Left used the 4th as an opportunity to

Washington Post celebrated
the 4th by describing it as a liberation from the past four years:

are many things for which to be thankful on this Fourth of July, chief
among them the fact that it will not be celebrated with a president in the

most pivotal date in U.S. history to draw attention to himself.
What a
disgrace! President Trump made an unprecedented effort to rekindle patriotism
with 4th celebrations on his watch. He, like the rest of us, saw with growing
alarm how the Left is constantly seeking to discredit America. They purposely
misunderstand everything he did, which was more than any other president in
recent memory--all without getting paid. Would ANY Democrat do that? We already

the New
York Times outdid WAPO with a
column claiming that some people now reject flying the flag because it has
become a symbol for supporting President Trump. That is so disingenuous it
defies belief. Trump supporters, like all true patriots, support the flag as
the symbol of American exceptionalism, and if anything, our determination to
display the flag is in direct response to the Democrat Left's deliberate
attacks on everything America.
They now
disingenuously claim that their refusal to fly the flag is based on their
reaction to Trump and his supporters. Ok, what was their excuse four years ago?
Eight years ago? Twelve?? Twenty? Fifty? Who popularized burning the flag?? The
Left has NEVER supported our flag or our country. As always, this division,

US Army Directs Commands To Prep For
Mandatory COVID Shots For Troops; Report
The
US Army is preparing to enforce mandatory coronavirus vaccinations for service
members from the beginning of September, according to an Army Times report.
The
report published Saturday notes “The Army has directed commands to prepare to
administer mandatory COVID-19 vaccines as early as Sept. 1, pending full Food
and Drug Administration licensure.”
“The
directive came from an execute order sent to the force by Department of the
Army Headquarters,” the report adds.
An
update to a purported leaked military directive says that “Commands will be
prepared to provide a backbrief on servicemember vaccination status and way
ahead for completion once the vaccine is mandated.”
Both
the Army and the DoD have denied that there are plans for mandatory
vaccinations.
Army
spokesperson Maj. Jackie Wren staled that “As a matter of policy we do not
comment on leaked documents. The vaccine continues to be voluntary.”
“If
we are directed by DoD to change our posture, we are prepared to do so,” Wren
added.
The
military is experiencing vaccine hesitancy, just as in the greater population.
This is sure to continue, with new research linking heart issues and chest
pains in soldiers to mRNA vaccines.
The
latest study, published in JAMA’s Cardiology Journal on Tuesday, showed that 23
male soldiers (including 22 who were deemed “previously health”) between the
ages of 20 and 51 presented “acute onset of marked chest pain” within four days
of receiving their second dose. Patients who sought care for chest pain in the
military health-care system following COVID-19 vaccination and were
subsequently diagnosed with clinical myocarditis were included in the case
study.
In
the UK, soldiers have been warned that if they decline the vaccine they will face
‘punishment and re-education’.

Why do so many
people fall for the socialist pitch? I get asked this all the time. There are a
number of reasons. First, the Left has worked to capture the high grounds in
our culture for over 100 years. They have been largely successful. And the
purpose is obvious; if you control the narrative, you can control people. So
we'll take that as the starting point.
The rest has
to do with economics. Yep. That's it. As you may know, I studied and taught
economics at the University of Delaware before coming to DC to take a job at
OMB. The formal definition of economics involves how a society chooses to
distribute limited resources in an atmosphere of unlimited wants. That's the
official definition. I define it as: the science of survival in an
uncertain world.
There are some
basic tenets in the study of economics. Probably the most important is
that people are risk-averse. We all are, to one degree or another.
Risk-takers are rare. That is why entrepreneurs can be so financially
successful. Few are willing to take the risks necessary to succeed. Similarly,
brave warriors occupy a special place in the annals of human accomplishment. Why?
Because they take risks, and are ennobled further by the fact that those risks
are taken for utterly unselfish reasons.
So back to
risk aversion. Siding with the Left is: 1. easy, because it is the prevailing
narrative, and that narrative defends itself viciously; 2. rewarding, because
you find widespread acceptance in the culture, and can presume yourself to be
"compassionate," "open-minded," and "progressive"
without lifting a finger; 3. you risk nothing by doing so; and 4. requires no
effort.
Just consider
the term "progressive" alone. It encapsulates all four of the above
ideas. Most people don't have time or inclination to step beyond their own
limited knowledge, and that is especially true when the facts will challenge
your entire worldview. Most people gripped in this iron box of mental
entrapment are too proud to admit that they could be so ignorant and gullible.
Now look at
the other side. We who have seen the reality and are willing to talk about it
risk pretty much everything. The Left attacks us from every angle. We lose
jobs, families and standing in the community. Some of us have lost our lives.
Does this go unnoticed by the general population? No. So fear of retribution is
now a major fifth factor in going with the Left.
So where can
we find hope? Eventually, people discover that what they thought was safe is
actually dangerous. A good example is the current situation with school boards.
With the Left overplaying its hand this year (as it always does when it gets
power), parents are finally coming to grips with what the Left is doing to our
kids! Going with the flow is no longer the easier, softer way. It is a direct
threat to our future and more and more parents are coming to see. And as they
come to our side to protect their children, the Left's agenda loses steam.
The only
question is whether enough people will come to their senses in enough time for
us to save our country. This is where God comes in. Our current condition is
the direct result of our nation abandoning God. The moral corruption that
followed is an unavoidable consequence, and from that, every form of corruption
flows.
Now I know you
all know this. I realize I am writing to people who for the most part have
probably NOT abandoned their belief, but the greater culture has, and we are
all suffering for it. But as
James says, "The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth
much." (James 5:16 KJV). So pray. Pray for us, pray for our country, even
pray for our enemies, that their eyes may be open, or if not, that God will
seek vengeance on them as he has to so many others who were enemies of God's
people.

the requirement for the double-jabbed to self-isolate will not be dropped until
August 16.
The
Health Secretary said the 'protective wall' thrown up by the vaccine drive
meant that ministers can 'look afresh' at rules when people are 'pinged' for
contact with an infected individual.
From
the middle of next month people who have received two doses - with the second
administered at least two weeks previously - can take PCR tests rather than
self-isolating. Under-18s will also not be subject to the restrictions from the
same date.
But
the timetable is far slower than many had hoped, and potentially means huge
numbers of people will be caught after 'Freedom Day' on July 19. Mr Javid told
the Commons that he had looked at changing the system earlier, but was 'more
comfortable' waiting until even more people were vaccinated.
The
dramatic news came after Mr Javid admitted coronavirus cases could top 100,000
a day by the summer as the government pushes ahead with the unlocking.
He
gave the grim figure as he insisted Boris Johnson is right to continue with the
dramatic endpoint on July 19, saying the hospitalisations and deaths were what
mattered.
The
PM was also given a boost this morning as 'Professor Lockdown' Neil Ferguson
said he is 'optimistic' the 'gamble' of releasing restrictions will work -
although he cautioned that cases could hit 200,000 a day and they might need to
be reimposed if vaccines are slightly less effective than hoped and deaths
surge.
Education
Secretary Gavin Williamson is also due to set out proposals for scrapping
school 'bubble' rules that have been causing huge numbers to stay away from
classes.
Mr
Javid said that by 'Freedom Day' he expects daily cases to reach 50,000 -
nearly double the current level.
'As
we ease and go into the summer we expect them to rise significantly and they
could go as high as 100,000 case numbers,' he told BBC Radio 4's Today
programme.
'We
want to be very straightforward about this… but what matters more than anything
is hospitalisation and death numbers. That is where the link has been severely
weakened.'
Last
night Mr Johnson signalled a 'big bang' end to lockdown on July 19, saying it
was now or never for a return to normality despite the pandemic being 'far from
over'.
He
claimed further delay would run the risk of trying to reopen in autumn or
winter when 'the virus has an edge'.
And
at a sombre Downing Street press conference, Mr Johnson warned against going
'demob happy' at the ending of most coronavirus restrictions on July 19.
And
he toned down previous pledges that the path out of lockdown would be
'irreversible' – with restrictions potentially returning and 'contingency'
powers kept in reserve. A final decision on whether to press ahead on July 19
will be taken at the start of next week but seems almost certain to be
approved.
Dropping
the curbs will mean the end of all legal limits on socialising, which have
wrecked family gatherings for 16 months, and the scrapping of social distancing
rules that have hobbled pubs, restaurants and the arts.

My 14 days of solitary, paid incarceration has commenced. The process to enter Australia is beyond draconian. We were escorted off to the airport by police and military personnel. Our first checkpoint took us to the police for a quick interrogation/initial processing prior to a health interrogation before we were ushered by the police to passport control for more traditional entry interrogation (reason to want to enter Australia?)
Ha! Good question, was I all I could think of replying…then baggage claim prior to being escorted by both police and military to wait for the bus. The army loaded our bags, where we had to wait for the police escort to arrive.
All on the bus had been double vaccinated from a quick show of hands…phone numbers were surreptitiously swapped (do this if you are single…misery loves company) … police escort in situ, the 20-odd of us on the bus were taken to the hotel.
A beautiful, crisp, and sunny Sydney morning without a breath of a breeze seems poignant. Our country, and my former home city, seemingly trying to let us know she still exists somewhere beneath this farce…waiting perhaps…
We arrived at the hotel. Police entered the bus, read us our charges against humanity for being Australians wanting to see our family and friends and then advised us we would be escorted to our rooms where no key will be given as we aren’t leaving until released by them.
To enter the hotel, aka cell block, police and army processed us. The first, step was a police-overseen check-in…dietary requirements entered…then, next step was onto a police data entry station before the Oz army dude escorted me to be passed on to another Oz army guy who then escorted me to my room with my bags.
I have no view of the green.

I am allotted one food delivery per day from the "outside".

I don’t know who wrote this, except that it’s an Australian giving a personal account of the quarantine process after going back "home" in the past few weeks. Other friends have had similar experiences of being carted off to the FEMA camps in different countries.

Amyloid beta plaques normally fold as alpha helices, they are like screws that
go into the membrane. All prion proteins have that characteristic. They normally
go into a membrane and form an alpha helix.

prion proteins misfold, and they can misfold when you get too many of them in
the cytoplasm, for example if there is too much alpha-synuclein amyloid-beta,
those alpha-synuclein amyloid-beta molecules start glomming together in these
beta sheets that are quite soluble, so they end up with soluble complexes of
beta sheets that are many amyloid betas.
