Friends,

my wife and I have been dealing with a medical emergency, hence I have not published any blog articles. My wife's cousin, who she loves as a sister, has been diagnosed with Guillain-Barre Syndrome. She is one of two people in her hospital with it.  She is paralyzed from the neck down and they are now purifying her blood.
Most importantly you can get this horrible disease from GETTING THE FLU SHOT or other vaccinations

Infection with the bacterium Campylobacter jejuni is one of the most common risk factors for GBS. People also can develop GBS after having the flu or other infections (such as cytomegalovirus and Epstein Barr virus). On very rare occasions, they may develop GBS in the days or weeks after getting a vaccination.

The Christ Hospital, Cincinnati, Ohio could not or would not tell me if they had any patients admitted in the last month with GBS. My wife's cousin is in Bethesda North Hospital.
