New Left Behind Movie Contains Heresy

The new “Left Behind” movie is based on the series of novels of same name that were written by Tim LaHaye and Jerry B. Jenkins. The film is set for an October 3, 2014 release.
What harm can there be if a series of novels depicted the Rapture of the Church? I have some real problems about the  books and the new movie. In fact, I would say it is satanically deceptive.
1) The major premise is that people who had missed the Rapture but became saved afterwards, had organized themselves into an armed rebellion and were strenuously fighting the forces of Antichrist.
While this idea proved popular, is it Biblical?
Where in the Bible does Jesus or any other writer, urge the Christians at that time to stand up and fight the forces of Antichrist? Not only is this an unbiblical concept, Jesus actually speaks of Christians meekly going to their slaughter at the hands of Antichrist.

"And when he had opened the fifth seal, I saw under the altar the souls of them that were slain for the word of God, and for the testimony which they held: And they cried with a loud voice, saying, How long, O Lord, holy and true, dost thou not judge and avenge our blood on them that dwell on the earth? And white robes were given unto every one of them; and it was said unto them, that they should rest yet for a little season, until their fellow servants also and their brethren, that should be killed as they were, should be fulfilled." (Revelation 6:9-11)
Notice that these Christian martyrs were murdered because they "bore the testimony" of Jesus Christ. They are not depicted as brave soldiers who fell on the field of battle fighting the forces of Antichrist. Notice also that Jesus will allow this slaughter of Christians to continue until the number of the slain has reached a number Jesus had selected to die for His glory.
2) In the last three books, LaHaye writes the plot so that one of the Christian leaders, Chang, is forced down by his father's bodyguards and forced to take the "Mark of the Beast". They threw him to the floor, and then physically restrained him as they injected him with the "Mark".
From that moment onward, Chang discovered that having the "Mark of the Beast" gave him numerous advantages as he directed the Christian forces in their battle against Antichrist. Chang was depicted as still in right standing with God and still going to Heaven. In the last book, Jesus returns to Earth to begin setting up His Millennial Reign. He specifically seeks a meeting with Chang, where He congratulates him for taking advantage of all the advantages inherent in having the "Mark" in his right hand.
I do not believe that any depiction should ever be made and publicized which opens the forbidden door to taking the "Mark". I believe that no one should take the “Mark” thereby risking their eternal salvation.

Keep in mind that the “Lawless One” will deceive people into taking the “Mark”. Again, I want to emphasize that no one can take the "Mark of the Beast" and expect to go to Heaven! The “Mark” is the oath of allegiance to satan.

Please demonstrate to anyone who believes this lie that it is not Biblical and heresy. They will not go to Heaven. This is a monumentally important issue and the new movie depicts lie.

Dear Watchman on the Wall,

I so appreciate the Watchman on the Wall!  I wanted to comment on the post about the new movie, “Left Behind”. First, I’ll comment on the book points (1 – 7), then the movie (points 8 – 12).

1) How many times has the movie content drifted so far from the book anyway? Hollywood can be trusted? Nah.....
2) Can Hollywood possibly do a 180 degree turn and drift more TOWARDS the truth from the book series content, even if it's heresy?
3) The Bible is the ONLY book that can be 100% trusted, and other books can be trusted if they are 100% rooted in the Bible.
4) The Left-Behind series is a collection of 12 volumes of a series of what happens when Christ raptures His church. Is the premise OK, and is each volume 100% OK with me?  No. But who’s to say it’s 14% or 87%?
5) The Left-Behind series did something many books could never do, and that's get unbelievers involved in an unprecedented way. The books like a novel, and with Scripture sprinkled in there. The reader would be FORCED to confront themselves with the decision to read on, or stop to actually GET A BIBLE and verify the substance for themselves. That, in itself is a huge thing. So if the INTENT of the book series was to get a large mass of people at least INTERESTED in end times, this worked very well.
6) I don't know if both authors WANTED to be totally accurate. I don't read minds that well. 8-)   Maybe they wanted to involve unbelieving readers into at least getting SOMETHING from the references, and then let the Holy Spirit take it from there. Sometimes the interest in the series gave me a perfect opportunity to focus on the spiritual significance of what the Bible says. So I use this as a tool, not as a reference or commentary.
7) There have been martyrs and will continue to me martyrs. The opinion of the blogspot writer talked about the martyrs. Fine. But the Bible does NOT say if they martyrs went willingly or went down fighting. I am sure in times past there were those who willingly bowed their heads maybe in some Colosseum are were beheaded. But I am also convinced that there were those who resisted an attack maybe defending their families against a powerful foe of God, and were killed in the fight. In other words, I don't think anyone knows the correct way for someone to die and be called a "martyr".

Movie:

8) There were a few movies a few years ago that were lower budget, and represented the same book series. These used somewhat unknown actors and actresses. There were some special effects, but not high-budget ones. The current movie uses more well known actors and actresses for a bigger box office, and I expect the level of special effects will be high.
9) I know a few years ago, Hollywood made a movie about NOAH, and it was SO far from the Bible, it was literally trash. Very little truth and accuracy. I don't know if this latest movie about Left Behind is as bad.
10) Mel Gibson took his own money and made a movie about The Passion. No one would back him. But he did it anyway, and there was startling accuracy in that film. He was black-balled and still is feeling the repercussions from that effort. There’s a lot to tell about Mel Gibson’s personal life, but that movie was pretty accurate.
11) As you know, I had a radio program for almost a year and a half, and I never did strive for perfection, I only strived for excellence. But I never stopped trying for excellence!

12) If the Scripture is 100% reliable, why did the New Testament record in Acts 18 about Apollos being well versed in Scripture and in verse 25: "He had been instructed in the way of the Lord; and being fervent in spirit, he SPOKE AND TAUGHT ACCURATELY the things concerning Jesus, though he knew only the baptism of John."  Here, Apollos said what he knew, and said it accurately. But when Priscilla and Aquilla instructed him, he became even more powerfully used of the Lord. Read more verses from 26-28 of that same chapter. So Apollos knew what he knew, but the Bible reads that as he learned more, he became an even more powerful witness for the Lord.

God Bless Brother
Lee
