Egyptian Prophecy Update

God's judgment against Egypt at the End of the Age is that He will stoke the flames of civil war. Egyptian shall fight Egyptian, brother against brother, city against city and kingdom against kingdom. As we have seen through the protracted Syrian civil war, a nasty internal war can produce devastation so complete that the nation's ability to contribute and to cooperate with other nations is destroyed. Photographs coming from Syria today show a degree of building and infrastructure devastation that belies the imagination. Likewise, Egypt is already suffering economically. She cannot feed herself these days and she has been forced to accept huge Arab loans from sheiks in the Persian Gulf and in Saudi Arabia. These Sunni sheiks do not want to see the radical Muslim Brotherhood (MB) take over Egypt again. Over 1,600 people have died in the fighting in Egypt. 24 Egyptian policemen were ambushed and killed in the Sinai by Islamists. Also former President Mubarak is scheduled to be released from prison next week. He was sentenced to life in prison.
Egypt today is poised for a full-scale civil war. On the one side is the Egyptian Army, who wants to keep Egypt on amore Western path, but on the other side is the radically militant Muslim Brotherhood. Their vision for Egypt is to subject all Egyptians to the fundamental Shari Law. All Arabs who lean toward Western values hate and fear Sharia Law

Another burned out Coptic church
I am watching the Egyptian situation with fascination because God’s Bible told me this was coming.  However, if one does not read the Holy Scripture, especially the prophet’s one cannot see these prophetic events coming.
After the Western World screamed for the need for "fair and honest elections" throughout the Middle East, a radical follower of the MB, Mohamed Morsi, emerged from a "fair and honest" election as the winner of the office of President.
While Egyptian generals complained and wrung their hands, they seemed helpless to step in militarily to overthrow a democratically elected President. But, Morsi proved to be incompetent economically and this failure opened the door for the Egyptian Army to step in. When the generals overthrew this elected President, they immediately stated that they would hold another free and fair election within months.
Morsi followers poured on to the streets by the millions. Ant-Morsi forces also poured on to the streets by the millions.
A frustrated Egyptian Army killed over 600 Morsi supporters, thus plunging the entire country into a low scale civil war. Egypt's streets are today pulsating with "Egyptians against Egyptians", in "city after city", and with hearts melting over the entire situation.
Egypt may, indeed, be entering her prophesied judgment of civil war. If Egypt is, then this development is a "sign" that the entire world is sliding into the Matthew 24:6-7 prophecy that is below:
4 ¶  And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you.
5  For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many.
6  And ye shall hear of wars and rumors of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet.
7  For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places.
8  All these are the beginning of sorrows.
9  Then shall they deliver you up to be afflicted, and shall kill you: and ye shall be hated of all nations for my name’s sake.
10  And then shall many be offended, and shall betray one another, and shall hate one another.
11  And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many.
12  And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold.
13  But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.
14  And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.
As the Egyptian civil war progresses, will we see the radical MB gain power once again? For the moment, the Army seems to have the upper hand, and they are imprisoning President Morsi, the top leader of the Muslim Brotherhood. However, as the prophecy against Egypt continues, the wording is such that it seems possible that the militant Brotherhood might gain supremacy. Moreover, I would be willing to bet that Great Britain and the United States will move covertly to subvert the Egyptian army and re-install another radical like Morsi. Indeed, some people believe the MB is on the British payroll and has been since its founding. We also know that the U.S. created and funded al Qaeda, a child of the MB.
Isaiah 19:4, "And I will give over the Egyptians into the hand of a hard and cruel master, and a fierce king will rule over them, says the Lord, the Lord of hosts."
The MB could be the  "... hard and cruel master, and a fierce king ..."
One way or another Isaiah 19:1-4 is being fulfilled before our eyes.
However, the most exciting fulfillment of End Times prophecy for Egypt is boldly stated in Isaiah 19: 5-17. Let’s look at these verses, for current events are uncannily setting the stage for fulfillment of the 2,500 year-old prophecy.
God says: And the waters shall fail from the Nile, and the river shall be wasted and become dry. And the rivers shall become foul, the streams and canals of Egypt shall be diminished and dried up, the reeds and the rushes shall wither and rot away. The meadows by the Nile, by the brink of the Nile, and all the sown fields of the Nile shall become dry, be blown away, and be no more. The fishermen will lament, and all who cast a hook into the Nile will mourn; and they who spread nets upon the waters will languish ... Those who are the pillars and foundations of Egypt will be crushed, and all those who work for hire or who build dams will be grieved."
Notice that God mentions those people "who build dams". Is it possible the mighty Nile River might be dried up through dams? Ethiopia wants to build at least one dam and perhaps three, at the headwaters of the Nile River! Hence, the drying up the Nile could occur.
Ethiopia four new dams on Blue Nile (Abay river) - Danielberhane Blog
According to my confidential source, 5 Ethiopian dams could be built
Perhaps three Ethiopian dams that will be built from the Renaissance Dam and provide Ethiopia with a huge hydroelectric and agricultural potential. Egypt receives only 15mm of precipitation a year. Egypt’s uses 1.3 billion cubic meters of rain water, along with the 6 billion cubic meters per year of underground water a year. This  constitutes only a fraction of Egypt’s needs. The bulk of Egypt’s needs for water come from the Nile, which provides 55.5 billion cubic meter of water per year."
Egypt, and her mighty Nile River, figure prominently in Old Testament writings. The Egyptians were polytheistic, worshipping many gods, one of whom was the Nile River. The Nile's headwaters are in Ethiopia, the river runs 6,650 miles long and its waters are shared by eleven countries: Tanzania, Uganda, Rwanda, Burundi, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Kenya, Ethiopia, Eritrea, South Sudan, Sudan and Egypt. The Nile ends in a large delta in northern Egypt and empties into the Mediterranean Sea."
Few rivers in the world are as important to life and prosperity as the Nile. Therefore, it is critical when Ethiopia decides to build dams and store billions of cubic feet of water, especially since the 11 nations the Nile waters exist in the middle of very dry, to desert conditions.
Keep in mind God’s prophecy clearly states that dams are going to play a role in this destruction of Egypt.
The Nile water that Egypt relies on comes from the following sources: The first, and most important, is the Ethiopian Plateau, which supplies the country with nearly 85 per cent of its needs. Some 65 per cent of these come from the Blue Nile, and the remaining 20 per cent comes from the Atbarah River. The next source is the Great Lakes region of Africa, which provides about 15 per cent of Egypt’s needs."
Egypt has historically claimed the right to use the Nile River as much as she wants to, without any interference from any of the other nations. But, in 2010, this situation began to turn nasty with her neighbors.

On 14 May 2010, six of the upstream countries signed the Entebbe Agreement that cancelled the privileges Egypt had had in the past, including the right to scrutinize and approve water projects south of its borders ... From now on, water projects would be approved by the majority of the countries concerned, not by unanimous vote, as had been the case before. "
Egypt can now no longer exercise a veto on any water project. She can, and will, be outvoted.
When Ethiopia saw her opportunity to take advantage of Egypt, she pounced like a leopard. "A few months after the Entebbe Agreement was signed, the 25 January Revolution erupted in Egypt, giving Ethiopia the chance to launch a major project on the Blue Nile without fearing Egyptian opposition."
"When Ethiopia’s Hidase Dam, also known as the Renaissance Dam, was planned, it was supposed to create a lake that would store 14 billion cubic meter of water, but then the lake’s capacity went up to 74 billion cubic meter. Acting without Egypt’s approval, Ethiopia laid the foundation stone for the dam in April 2012. Renaissance/Hidase (Hidase means Renaissance in the Ethiopian language) will be the largest dam in Africa.
The Nile drainage system
This storage capacity increase of the reservoir behind the dam is a whopping 428%!
The Ethiopian Renaissance Dam would be catastrophic for Egypt. In hydroelectric dams, the lakes are usually less than 14 billion cubic meter in capacity. The massive capacity of the lake suggests that a power game is afoot. Whoever is in control of the dam will also control the Blue Nile. And whoever controls the Blue Nile, the old saying goes, will also control Egypt."
For several thousand years, Egypt has dominated the other countries within the region. But, now, her leaders are in danger of losing control of Egypt's daily life, especially if the water disappears.

The construction of the Renaissance dam in Ethiopia
The Renaissance dam is not one structure, but a series of dams. There is a technical reason for the proliferation of dams. The first dam, which will be built at a distance of five kilometers from the borders of Sudan, is expected to receive all the silt coming from the plateau of around 240 million cubic meters per year. The silt will fill up the proposed lake within 50-70 years. Therefore, the company intends to build three other dams on the Blue Nile to reduce the silting of the final lake. Behind each dam, a lake will therefore emerge, leading the total amount of reserved water to be about 200 billion cubic meter, this spells water death for both Egypt and Sudan."
That last sentence contains the essence of God's End Times prophecy against Egypt in Isaiah 19. Egypt is to be crushed.
Now that we realize that these dams will create unprecedented water diversion from Egypt and the Sudan, what kind of physical damage would occur if one or all three of these dams collapse, or is blown up by military force or terrorists?
Another point of interest has to do with geology. The first dam is going to be built between two mountains that are supposed to offer it structural support by acting as 'shoulders' for it. However, geological research shows that the two mountains in question contain fragile rocks that cannot bear the structural pressure. So instead of the dam leaning on the mountains, the mountains lean on the dam, an incredibly dangerous situation.
The chances of the Ethiopian dam collapsing as a result of this unusual design have been put at 95 per cent during the first 20 years of its life. American experts give the dam a security rating of 1.5, compared to the security rating of Egypt’s Aswan High Dam, which is eight. If the dam collapses, an unspeakable ecological disaster will hit both Sudan and Egypt.
Let’s look again at Isaiah 19:5-10 to see what kind of ecological destruction God intends to wreak upon Egypt: And the waters shall fail from the Nile, and the river shall be wasted and become dry. Those who are the pillars and foundations of Egypt will be crushed, and all those who work for hire or who build dams will be grieved.
The hydraulics department at Cairo University, ran a simulation model to assess the damage that would happen in the event of the dam collapsing. According to this simulation, nearly 74 billion cubic meter of water would rush north, annihilating Khartoum completely with a tidal wave 9-18 meters high. All cities north of Khartoum, up to the Egyptian borders, would also cease to exist."
When the water hits Lake Nasser at the Aswan High Dam, there are two possibilities. If the lake is low, the High Dam might not collapse. The lake would fill with the incoming water, the Toshka Reservoir would be filled, and the remaining water would flow over the High Dam. The flow of water, estimated at four times the average, or about one billion cubic meter per day, would lead to the collapse of all the other dams and bridges along the river, as well as most buildings on its banks.
However, if Lake Nasser is full, the situation will be dire. The Aswan High Dam would be likely to collapse, and all of Egypt, up to the Delta perhaps, would be inundated."
When the dam is built, the Ethiopian lake will need to be filled first before any water comes through to Egypt and Sudan. Before the lake is filled, there is no way of diverting water downstream. What all this means is that Egypt may remain without water for at least two years until the lake is filled. If we add to this the fact that further dams will be built to slow down the silting of the northernmost dam, this time is multiplied."
Therefore, Egypt will be without the Nile River flow for at least two years and probably more. Remember, Egypt has so little rain, she absolutely depends upon the waters flowing daily down the Nile.
What did God foretell of the Nile River flowing through Egypt in Isaiah 19:5-9?
"... the waters shall fail from the Nile, and the river shall be wasted and become dry. "

The African portion of the rift plates

This tectonic plate is very active. Further, the geological pressures caused by this shift in weight could lead to tremors and quakes, thus raising the possibility that the dam will collapse and flood both Sudan and Egypt. The water leakage may also weaken the body of the dam, for the great amounts of water that are likely to leak from the lake are going to move forward towards Sudan, passing underneath the rock formations bearing the dam and potentially weakening it to the point of collapse ... As a result, the pollution level in the Nile will increase, and the sea water from the Mediterranean will flow inland, raising the salinity in the land of the Delta. Several crops, such as rice and sugarcane that require plenty of water, will disappear from Egypt.

Once again, what does God say?
And the rivers shall become foul, the streams and canals of Egypt shall be diminished and dried up, the reeds and the rushes shall wither and rot away. The meadows by the Nile, by the brink of the Nile, and all the sown fields of the Nile shall become dry, be blown away, and be no more.
Egypt's destruction is not the end of this story. After God’s judgment has run its course, He heals Egypt and even gives her a role to play in the coming 1,000 year reign of Jesus Christ.
Again Isaiah 19:19-20 states, In that day there will be five cities in the land of Egypt that speak the language of [the Hebrews of] Canaan and swear allegiance to the Lord of hosts ... In that day there will be an altar to the Lord in the midst of the land of Egypt, and a pillar to the Lord at its border. And it will be a sign and a witness to the Lord of hosts in the land of Egypt; for they will cry to the Lord because of oppressors, and He will send them a savior, even a mighty one, and he will deliver them.
After God's physical judgments run their course, some Egyptians will turn to swear allegiance to the Lord of hosts and they shall erect an altar to the Lord in the midst of the land of Egypt, and a pillar to the Lord at its border. God's response is one of great Mercy, for He will send them a savior, even a mighty one, and he will deliver them.
Note that God promises Egypt that she will be one of three nations (Israel, Assyria and Egypt) who will form a "Messianic League", further solidifying the concept that this scenario, which is beginning now, will run through the seven years of Tribulation and to the time of Jesus' return.
And the Lord shall smite Egypt, smiting and healing it; and they will return to the Lord, and He will listen to their entreaties and heal them. In that day shall there be a highway out of Egypt to Assyria, and the Assyrian will come into Egypt and the Egyptian into Assyria; and the Egyptians will worship the Lord with the Assyrians. In that day Israel shall be the third, with Egypt and with Assyria (in a Messianic league), a blessing in the midst of the earth, Whom the Lord of hosts has blessed, saying, Blessed be Egypt My people and Assyria the work of My hands and Israel My heritage.
The final restoration and healing of Egypt to be a most inspiring story. Like Babylon, Egypt has been steeped in all forms of Witchcraft and Mystery religions. God will cleanse the Egyptian people of their dependence of mediums, soothsayers, and shamans.
God will give Egypt equal partnership with Israel and Assyria "in a Messianic league"! These three nations will become a "blessing in the midst of the earth".
Most of the time, God's judgments are designed to cleanse the nation under judgment, and provide the way for restoration. This is His promise to Egypt. I find it terribly exciting to see current events in Egypt and the Sudan and Ethiopia, suddenly turning toward this 2,500-year-old prophecy. It sounds like events are being arranged by God to fulfill every detail of this prophetic utterance.
I do not wish the death of any person, and I am sad that so many will evidently die as this judgment occurs. But, I am excited to see that the God whom I worship and serve is bringing glory to Himself by the fulfillment of this prophecy. Jesus told His believers in Luke 21:28 that at the End of the Age and I quote, Now when these things begin to occur, look up and lift up your heads, because your redemption (deliverance) is drawing near.
The time is here for us believers to lift up our heads and be encouraged that our Redeemer is drawing near!
More than ever before, we live in an era in which prophecies are being fulfilled. Are you paying attention? Are you saved? Do genuinely believe and accept in your heart Yeshua Hamashiach/Jesus Christ as your Lord, Messiah and Savior? Do you believe He rose again on the 3rd day? Are you spreading this good news to the unsaved within your "Sphere of Influence"?

Fulfillment of prophecy means that the return of Jesus is very close, even at the doors.
