Can You Spell G-u-l-f of T-o-n-k-i-n R-e-s-o-l-u-t-i-o-n or f-a-l-s-e f-l-a-g?

Above, the logo of Ansar Allah commonly known as Houthis. Image taken from
their official Twitter
account, which includes the Quranic verse, ”O ye who believe! Be ye helpers of
Allah (ansar allah).” The flag says, “God is Great, Death to America, Death to
Israel, Curse the Jews, Victory to Islam.”
Below are 2 reports about the Houthi attack.
1. The
Iranian-backed (Houthi) suicide attack targeting a Saudi frigate off the coast of Yemen
on Monday may have been meant for an American warship, two defense officials said. Friends, I would bet $5.00 the Houthis saw the Saudi Arabian flag on the ship. At first glance this seems like more "fake" news tp manipulate or distract the American public.
The
incident in question occurred in the southern Red Sea and was carried out by
Iranian-backed Houthi rebels. Two Saudi sailors were killed and three were
wounded. At first the ship was thought to have been struck by a missile.
But based
on new analysis of a video showing the attack, American intelligence officials
now believe this was, in fact, a suicide bomber whose small boat rammed the
side of the Saudi vessel.
In the
audio heard on the video, a voice narrating the attack shouts in Arabic,
"Allahu akbar [God is great], death to America, death to Israel, a curse
on the Jews and victory for Islam."
U.S.
defense analysts believe those behind the attack either thought the bomber was
striking an American warship or that this was a “dress rehearsal” similar to
the attack on the USS Cole, according to one official.
The
attack, near the Bab al Mandab Strait connecting the Red Sea to the Gulf of
Aden, occurred in the same area where U.S. Navy warships came under missile
attack in October.
An
American destroyer shot down those incoming missiles -- the first successful engagement
in combat using an American SM-2 missile.
USS
Nitze, an American destroyer, retaliated soon after, launching Tomahawk
missiles on October 13 at multiple Houthi radar sites in Yemen.
This
latest incident came a day after President Trump spoke by phone with the Saudi
King to discuss setting up safe zones for refugees in Syria and Yemen. Senior
U.S. defense officials who spoke with Fox News say they're concerned by this
latest incident, but are confident American warships can defend themselves.
The United
States has supported a Saudi-led air campaign against the Houthi rebels in
Yemen since 2015.
2. The Houthi movement, flag above, attacked a Saudi warship off the western coast of Yemen on Monday, causing an
explosion that killed two crew members and injured three others.
The Houthis also said they launched a ballistic missile at a Saudi-led coalition military base
on the Red Sea island of Zuqar between Yemen and Eritrea on Tuesday morning.
There was no immediate
coalition reaction to that claim and it was unclear if there were any
casualties. The attacks signal an
escalation to weeks of combat on Yemen’s western coast between the Iran-allied
Houthis and the coalition backing Yemen’s internationally recognized government.
“A Saudi frigate on patrol
west of Hodeidah port came under attack from three suicide boats belonging to
the Houthi militias,” the Saudi-led coalition fighting in Yemen. One of the boats collided
with the rear of the vessel, causing an explosion and a fire that killed two
crew members and wounded three others.
The Houthi movement’s
al-Masira channel contradicted this account and quoted a military source saying
the explosion was caused by a guided missile.
It was at least the second
attack by the Houthis on ships off the coast of Yemen in the last six months.
The group is engaged in
battles on the mainland with coalition troops and pro-government fighters, who
are trying to advance northward to deprive the Houthis of Red Sea ports.
The Saudi-led coalition
warned the attack on the ship “would impact international navigation and the
flow of humanitarian assistance to the port for Yemeni citizens.”
Saudi Arabia and its Gulf
Arab allies have carried out thousands of bombing raids in Yemen since March
2015 in a campaign to try to restore the ousted administration government of
President Abd-Rabbu Mansour Hadi.
He Would Rather Be an Oscar Meyer Weiner!
Federal prosecutors are weighing
bringing child-pornography charges against former congressman Anthony Weiner (Huma Abedine's husband)
over sexually explicit exchanges he allegedly had with a 15-year-old girl,
according to people familiar with the matter.
Weiner, a New
York Democrat, is being investigated by the U.S.
attorney’s office in Manhattan and the Federal Bureau of Investigation, which
seized his electronic devices, including a laptop and a cellphone, as part of
the probe.
Officials initiated the investigation
last fall, after the Daily Mail in the U.K. reported that Mr. Weiner had
exchanged sexually explicit messages and photos with the girl.
In recent weeks, according to some of
the people familiar with the matter, attorneys for Mr. Weiner have had
discussions with federal prosecutors in Manhattan in hopes of dissuading them
from bringing charges, or at least from bringing the most serious one:
production of child pornography, which carries a 15-year mandatory minimum
prison sentence upon conviction.
These types of discussions can indicate
both sides are trying to reach an agreement in which the defendant pleads
guilty in exchange for a less-severe charge.
Weiner could face the production
charge, some of the people familiar with the case say, because he allegedly
solicited explicit images from the teenager.
Prosecutors also are weighing other
charges, including receipt of child pornography, for which conviction carries a
five-year mandatory minimum, and possession of child pornography, which has no
mandatory minimum. Legal experts say receipt and possession encompass virtually
the same misconduct, but the two charges are a way to give prosecutors more
discretion in their charging decisions.
Prosecutors could decide not to bring
any charges.
It isn’t known what images prosecutors
have found in the course of the investigation. Federal child pornography laws
are broadly written, and lawyers who have defended people charged with child
pornography say certain types of images could receive lighter treatment under
the law, such as photos of nude minors who aren’t engaging in sexually explicit
activity.
In determining child-pornography
charges, prosecutors often take into account a range of contextual evidence,
including whether a person specifically sought out a minor, whether the
incident fits a pattern of similar behavior with minors and whether the person
knew the individual was a minor.
Mr. Weiner has said he might have been
the victim of a hoax. The Daily Mail reported in September that Mr. Weiner had
provided the newspaper copies of two emails the teenager sent him that he said
“raised questions about her claims.”
Mr. Weiner resigned from Congress in
2011, after the first reports that he had lewd exchanges with women online. He
attempted a political resurrection with a New York City mayoral bid in 2013,
but his career in politics was ultimately extinguished after a fresh round of
sexually explicit messages he had exchanged with another woman emerged in the
midst of his campaign.
The high-profile criminal probe into
Mr. Weiner upended the final days of the 2016 presidential race. Less than two
weeks before election day, FBI Director James Comey disclosed that FBI agents
had discovered a laptop with emails that might be related to the probe of a
private email server used by Democratic presidential candidate Hillary
Clinton while she was secretary of state. The emails turned out to have
been on a laptop used by Mr. Weiner and his now-estranged wife, Huma Abedin, a
top aide to Mrs. Clinton.
Mr. Comey ultimately announced, two
days before the election, that the search of the laptop had turned up nothing
to change investigators’ opinions that Mrs. Clinton shouldn’t be charged in the
email investigation.
Wars and Rumors of War
And you will hear of wars and rumors of wars. See that you are not troubled;
for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not
yet.
But when you hear of wars and rumors of wars, do
not be troubled; for such things must happen, but the end is not
yet.
Friends,
the United States and its allies cannot fight a two front war with Russia, China and their allies.

I do not think a nation can surround another super power nation that possesses nuclear weapons.

the military industrial complex marches on. Below is Eisenhower's comments on the military industrial complex.
Why Are We So Stupid?
My good friend Richard wrote this article.
You can ask any
person, between the ages of 18 and 25, if they have ever heard of the Nuremburg
Trials. It is possible that one person out of thirteen will say they have
heard of the Trials. However, even that one will not be able to tell you
what (not who) was on trial.
Those same people
will not be able to tell you the name of the current Vice President.
Eighty four percent
of those who receive this email will not completely read it...if they read any
of it at all. Ten percent will read it, but they will choose not to
forward it on to others. The remaining 6% most likely will forward it.
The war started in
the 7th Century and lasted through the 17th Century. Many will contend it
never stopped; the facts below are historically correct. That is why
many of us choke when we hear someone say we will defeat or contain these
Islamic terrorists in a few years, or even "30 years" as has
been stated by Leon Panetta.
If the latest batch of murders, beheadings, and killing of innocent Christians has at all shocked you, it is time for you to read this compilation of historical facts about the intense hatred that Muslims have for any and all who are not Muslims.
WE
ARE THE STUPID
In 732 A.D., the Muslim Army, which was moving on
Paris, was defeated and turned back at Tours, France, by Charles Martell.
In 1571 A.D.,
the Muslim Army/Navy
was defeated by the Italians and Austrians as they tried to cross the
Mediterranean to attack southern Europe in the Battle of Lepanto.
In 1683 A.D.,
the Turkish Muslim Army,
attacking Eastern Europe, was finally defeated in the Battle of Vienna by
German and Polish Christian armies.
This
nonsense has been going on for 1,400 years!
The sad thing is that more than half of all politicians do not even know any of
this. If these battles had
not been won, we would most likely be speaking Arabic. And
Christianity could be non-existent. Judaism certainly would not exist!
Reality
check: A lot of
Americans have become so insulated from reality that they imagine America can
suffer defeat without any inconvenience to themselves. Think back:
The following events are true historical facts. It has been many years
since 1968, but history keeps repeating itself.
1. In
1968, Robert Kennedy was shot and killed by a Muslim male.
2. In
1972, at the Munich Olympics, Israeli athletes were kidnapped and massacred by Muslim males.
3. In 1972, a
Pan Am 747 was hijacked and eventually diverted to Cairo where a fuse was lit
on final approach. Shortly after landing, it was blown up by Muslim males.
4. In 1973, a Pan Am
707 was destroyed in Rome – with 33 people killed – when it was attacked with
grenades by Muslim males.
5. In
1979, the United States Embassy in Iran was taken over by Muslim males.
6. During
the 1980s, a number of Americans were kidnapped in Lebanon by Muslim males.
7. In
1983, the United States Marine barracks in Beirut was blown up by Muslim males.
8. In 1985, the
cruise ship Achille Lauro was hijacked, and a 70-year-old American
passenger was murdered and thrown overboard in his wheelchair by Muslim males.
9. In
1985, TWA Flight 847 was hijacked at Athens, and a United States Navy diver –
who was trying to rescue passengers – was murdered by Muslim males.
10. In
1988, Pan Am Flight 103 was bombed by Muslim
males.
males.
11. In
1993, the World Trade Center was bombed for the first time by Muslim males.
12. In
1998, the United States embassies in Kenya and Tanzania were bombed by Muslim males.
13. On
09/11/01, four airliners were hijacked. Two of the planes were used as
missiles to take down the World Trade Centers. One plane crashed into the
United States Pentagon, and the other plane was diverted and crashed by the
passengers. Thousands of people were killed by
Muslim males.
Muslim males.
14. In
2002, the United States fought a war in Afghanistan against Muslim males, a war that
continues.
15. In
2002, reporter Daniel Pearl was kidnapped and beheaded by – you guessed it – a Muslim male. (Plus two
other American journalists who had just recently been beheaded.)
16. In
2013, the Boston Marathon bombing resulted in four innocent people, including a
child, being killed and 264 other people injured by Muslim males.
No, I really do not
see a pattern here to justify profiling. Do you? So, to ensure
we Americans never offend anyone – particularly fanatics intent on killing us –
airport security screeners will no long be allowed to profile certain
people. So, ask yourself: "Just how stupid are we?!?!"
Have Americans
completely lost their minds or just their "power of reason?"
As the writer
of the award winning story "Forrest Gump" so aptly put it, "Stupid is as stupid does." You
now have the opportunity to send this on to other email contacts. Please
do that.
Or you can just sit
back, keep complaining and do nothing.
